Your office does not have an inviting atmosphere. My first visit we stood behind a gentleman that was being serviced by the first person you encounter when you walk in; we thought it was the line to check in. After standing there for a couple minutes I became uncomfortable because of HIPAA laws. I then noticed the young lady at the opposite end and I spoke from where I was standing asking her should we step down to her, she said yes. She never said next, or next in line, or, hi, I can assist you down here. When we approached her, she didn’t greet us, didn’t smile, she comes across as being unapproachable. She does handle herself in a professional manner, but there is no warmth or friendliness in the communication. The first person at the desk also does not smile and she too comes across as being unapproachable. We didn’t know what to do coming into the office and also checking out for the first time. I felt uncomfortable! Also, during our first visit, my husband’s surgery was scheduled by a young lady who was friendly and professional. She wrote down and provided me with her phone number to call her if I had any questions. She had asked me a question related to my husband’s cardiologist who put him on elliquis, I explained to her that he did not have a cardiologist, and at that moment I could not come up with the doctor’s specialty. By the time we walked to our car, I recalled his specialty and decided to call her at that moment to let her know. It was then that I realized that she left off one number for her phone number, so I couldn’t call her directly. I then called the main number and asked the person who answered the call if they would provide me with her full phone number so I could call her. Her response was she couldn’t help me. So I asked her, Are you going to make us walk back to the office to get her phone number”? She responded, “I’m telling you what I can do for you.” With that, we had to walk back to the office to get the lady’s accurate phone number!! UNACCEPTABLE!!!! I observed that there are a lot of seniors that come to this office, some who struggle with walking, I thought about them being made to walk back into the office for this scenario! The staff at the front desk are the face to your business and represents your business. I’ve visited many medical facilities in my life time and have never encountered this atmosphere or attitudes. They should be coached on greeting patients, being courteous, and creating a professional atmosphere. Instead, they come across as though they don’t want to be there, but have to be there. The one young lady who checked us out today and the first time we came exemplifies how to interact with patients and their families, perhaps she can coach them. I don’t like going to businesses that make me feel uncomfortable. Thank you for sending me this survey.

The information provided by Dr. Patel on my current PSA test and history oy previous tests to inform me of my improvement. The medical staff was thorough and very helpful. The only issue I have is the recurrent information filled out on the I Pad. This information should be sent in advance of the appointment that will avoid time spent on filling out the form.
