My kids love to swim
Masters swim!
Cardio, Resistance training, basketball and swimming, steam room and sauna's available.
Need to get the Steam Heat issue resolved as winter approaches. Plus, handball and/or racquetball courts need refurbished. This used to be done on a regular, alternating basis. Try getting one court done at a time.
It would be a great place for a complete boxing room, not just one room with a heavy bag. I could see the Youngstown YMCA having it's own, and I am guessing pretty strong, boxing team with the right (determined) fighters and trainers.

I absolutely love Miss Erica and her professional swim teaching skills. She makes the lessons fun and full of energy. She connects with the kids in such a beautiful way and she adapts her class to each child's skill level. She changes lives on child at a time.

The times available to swim, sauna and use the stationary bike fits my schedule. Every time I go in I am greeted with a smile and a "Hello". Nice to feel welcome.
People are so friendly at the main Y. Down to earth.

The Pilates class was great. I like the walking path, and spent some time at the pool which was relaxing.
I became a member this past spring. I am a senior citizen looking to stay active and in shape. I had a quadruple heart bypass 21 years ago at age 47. I like the HFD locker room at the central Ymca. I am enrolled in a swim class to learn swim strokes and swim mechanics.My knees, hips, and shoulders seem to handle the swimming pretty good.It's early in the process so I need to increase endurance and overall swim mechanics and breathing. I'm hoping to be consistent. My weight is down 10 pounds since I joined the Y. There is plenty of strength training options to help keep the muscles and joints functioning. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. I look forward to my sessions at the central Ymca.
