We have been clients of Alyssa Blair for some time and when she moved to Floyd's, we followed her there. She is an awesome stylist and we love the service that she provides. It was our first time there at Floyd's and we found the staff to be very friendly and inviting. We live in Parker, but driving the distance is worth it to have Alyssa be our stylist!

Experience at Lakewood (on union): I scheduled a skin fade and came into the location. Q was helping me and asked me what I wanted. I said a skin fade and pointed at my temple by my eyebrow. He said so a high fade and I said yea (assuming he’s the expert and agreeing with his jargon). He continued with the haircut. He turned the chair around and the fade was really high and not where I pointed. He said he still needed to blend it and I was like this isnt what I wanted. I said its cool because the hair is already gone. I understand this was a communication issue but didnt really enjoy the way it was handled. I pointed out I wanted it by my temple and he told me that would be a mid fade. I feel pointing where I want the fade is sufficient communication and the barber should make sure they understand what their client is saying. I have been to floyds for many years and locations and different barbers and never have had an issue. Regardless of where the fade lies, he didn't finish the haircut after I pointed it out. He took the cape off me after I declined a neck shave like the haircut was over. I was confused because he said he still needed to blend it. Also there was still stubble hair on the side of my head. The website says the skin fade is tapered down to the skin. I can still feel my hair from my “high fade”. He seemed really defensive as soon as I pointed it out. I walked by the mirror on my way to the front and told the front desk im not paying for this. I pointed out it was blended and there is still stubbles of hair on the side of my head. Q came up and told me of I didnt want to pay I should leave. I said cool and walked out. No offer to fix it or any attempt to de-escalate a customers complaint. I left because I wanted my hair fixed and didnt want to deal with his attitude and it made me uncomfortable. Also I had a 5:20 appointment and didnt sit down til 5:40.

Drove to the Ward location since I didnt feel comfortable at the lakewood location. The manager asked me about a note on my account saying I walked out on my haircut. I told her the story of what happened at the lakewood store and I was told by Q if I didnt want to pay I could just leave. She saw the haircut he gave me and agreed my fade was not blended and I should be able to feel the skin if I get a skin fade. She was so nice and understanding. The stylist who took me also really nice. She did a great job fixing and enjoyed her witty banter. This is the kind of service that makes me love coming to Floyd’s. Thank you to those two people at the ward store (sorry I didnt catch their names)
