I was impressed with how easy and flexible the staff is to accommodate orders. My experience with other metal suppliers has been bad in the past. They act like you've got no business being there if you dont know exactly what you need before ordering. I'm not a welder and I only need to purchase metal stock every once in a while, its only a fraction of my job.
I was able to call ahead and describe what I was looking for and the sales rep. was able to make other suggestions that I didn't even know existed! I worked out so much better. Also, when I arrived I had to use our van instead of a pickup and they were able to cut the stock in pieces so that it would fit while I waited.
Thank you for making metal stock procurement an easy process instead of some secret guarded mystery!

The Kent Metal Supermarkets store is almost always able to supply the material we need. We keep a pretty diverse inventory of material here in our shop but it's pretty common for us to get a request to produce a part for which we do not have the appropriate material. It's also pretty common for these jobs to be high priority. On these occasions I usually give Metal Supermarkets a call and they are able to have my order ready in a couple hours (or less) so I can pick the material up on my way home from work and be ready to get the job underway the next morning. The staff is always friendly and helpful, and they go out of their way to provide us with our metal needs.
