Spacious. Lots of exam rooms. Clean and modern looking. Check in is very fast and easy. Dr. Brown was such a relief and breath of fresh air coming from our last urologist who was just a Debbie downer from the start. Unlock him, Dr. Brown was sincerely interested in my Dad’s case, rather than just writing him off as stuck on a catheter and just deal with it. Dr. Brown asked his history with his urine flow, his story of what happened to get on the catheter, how previous trial removals had gone, etc. He kept it realistic and did caution there was a good probability some kind of permanent catheterization would be required but said there were options like self catheterization which no one told us before. This was very welcome as my Dad absolutely hates having to wear and carry the external bag. We were taught and completed one successful self catheterization in office and sent home with all the supplies. He was very upbeat and frank without being overly negative. Really appreciated his demeanor after what we’ve previously experienced! It helped that all my Dad’s other doctors, when they found out we were going to Dr. Brown, lauded him and said how he was the best and if anybody could help it was him.

When my husband first started experiencing bladder problems, Dr. Brown was recommended by our primary care doctor and also by a friend who had been Dr. Brown's patient for several years. Our friend had nothing but the highest praise for the doctor and continues to see Dr. Brown even though our friend now resides in another state.

From the first visit, Dr. Brown and his staff made us feel we were in very capable hands. Over the past couple of years, Dr. Brown has performed 2 in-hospital surgeries on my husband and we have been to his office for several follow-up procedures. When the exams are finished, he sits with both of us and meticulously explains his findings and recommendations. We have never felt rushed and he takes as much time as is necessary to answer each and every question we might have. Given the care and attention we've received, we feel very thankful that Dr. Brown was recommended to us. He has more than lived up to his well-deserved reputation as one of the best physicians a patient could hope to have.

Dr Brown is the only Urologist I’ve gone to that doesn’t push his agenda on you like take it or leave it. He discusses your options and you both agree what action you want to take. Dr. Brown is always very personable making the appointment enjoyable relieving your anxiety. I live in Imperial Beach which is a lot further than other Urologist in my area but I think the extra miles and time is well worth it to get the best.
