Each week the campers learn something new, so the learning doesn't end when the school year ends. It continues throughout the summer. It's a very structured and safe environment. The campers also get to have tons of fun and make new friends.

Organized day with calendars with activities.
So far my son has had an amazing time exploring new games, friendly connections, and getting to conquer his fear of being in the pool. The staff have been amazing and do a fantastic job. I am so glad we gave it a try for the first time.
The quality of the counselors are amazing! They were all so nice, kind, and inviting. My son’s first time ever at a day camp and he was nervous. Those nerves were put to bed immediately because of the kindness of the staff!
My child attends Bridgeport Elementary. I like that they provide stem activities, water play, and outdoor activities. I love that they have the option to be inside or outside and the space to be inside the facility.

How interactive and engaging they are
My daughter was engaged all day and loved swimming.
Old school kid games (not technology - makes them use their creativity) and also the physically play games (outside play or in the gym).
And they get to try new foods/snacks that I don’t normally have at home.
We love the Y after school care at Sand Creek Elementary. The staff are very intentional with the kids, providing many opportunities to participate in a variety of activities and learn valuable life skills.

Son seemed to enjoy whatever he decided to do that day or have offered. Mix of activities. Outside time.

One suggestion, I stopped by the site early this morning (7:45am). There were no children present yet.
There were 2 adult males present. Shouldn't there be 1 male and 1 female on duty? If a little girl was dropped off early with no other children, she would be left with 2 adult males. This may not be the best approach. Just a thought, not a criticism.

I love how this location has kept my child active and having fun! Their daily routine so far has included numerous sports and inventions. My child is in such a good mood when I pick her up and just raves about her new friends and the daily activities. Not being on electronics all day is a game changer! The staff has been amazing and we are both so thankful for this wonderful summer opportunity! 🙏 Thank you YMCA New Pal!
