Always friendly staff.
Although limited classes are available (due to Ian), the Englewood Y is really trying their best. Great instructors! Just which they would clean the green room floor more often.
The instructors are great!! Especially Lori ,Kasey and Lisa.
the classes
zumba, pilates, and stretch classes. Such wonderful and caring instructors. A gift to the community from you to us. Thank you many times over.
The excellent instructors
Did a fitness challenge when I first joined. It really helped me realize how important an exercise routine is. I think that’s the reason I regularly use the Y even a year after.
Group Fitness Spinning, Pump, and Yoga
Swimming pool is great.
Always warm and clean.
Guards are doing a very good job.
Mainly because of access and for my lifestyle programs are more than adequate
There are classes for a wide range of interests. The instructors are engaging. The hours accommodate people of all schedules.
Instructors for group classes are very good, especially Lori (Body Pump and Grit). Good variety of classes. Cleanliness and attractiveness of facility.
I would like to have Zumba back in the gym, with more days at 9am. Thanks
Variety. Staff is WONDERFUL.
Availability of group exercise activities and the nautilus equipment. Would appreciate the addition of a 9:00 spin class as in past years.
Better than ever since hurricane Ian. Great job..

Fantastic group instructors!
Group fitness classes
The scheduled wellness classes are top notch, taught by energetic, skilled instructors. There’s a nice variety of class offerings everyday.
The Y staff is very helpful and has done a super job in figuring out where to hold classes, place equipment as everyone waits for roof replacement damaged by hurricane Ian.
Very friendly and professional
I like that there is a good selection of equipment without too much testosterone in the room. It’s a friendly environment where you can still work hard on heavy deadlifts!
We are from an older generation and we like the friendly attitude of staff. The equipment is maintained. It appears you have good programs .Only one thing lacking. When the Y was founded it was truly a YMCA. The YMCA is missing that Christian character building influence it was founded on.
The programs are well designed and organized.

I like all the classes, especially the Parkinson oriented classes. I go to Spinning for Parkinson, Rock Steady boxing, and Parkinson exercise class. I also go to Cardio Drumming, Zumba Gold, Active older Balance class, Enhanced Fitness, and Core Strength class. I love Chair Yoga on Friday at Port Charlotte. Most days I leave for the Y about 9 and don't get home until almost 4. All the staff at the Y are awesome. I fight Parkinson's with as much exercise as I can do -- The Y is a godsend for me!
