We love the youth running programs with Coach Jason. Abbie is incredibly organized and a phenomenal communicator. We feel very lucky that our kids are in the YMCA family! - the Atchison Family
Great ymca
Convenient location, organized game schedule.
Great coach who cares about his players. The referees are mostly fair.
This year, the football games started later so we could attend church!
We loved our experience with fall soccer! It was perfect for our 3-year-old.
Abbie Dixon is The Best Sports Director ever at the YMCA. She deserves a huge raise and promotion for all that she does for YMCA Youth Sports development.
Love it
We have done 2 soccer leagues so far Spring&Sunmer.
Will be returning for Fall.
It's been awesome 😊
Great variety and welcoming people
We had a great coach!
Coaches are so committed
A lot offered, great community within the sports! Organized well, easy to participate in!
they were well organized, the teams were set up with kids from the same school, the staff was super friendly, and the whole program is just a lot of fun.
Great at teaching sportsmanship!
The programs are well organized. I do think you should consider including a coach rating system so that teams of similar abilities are paired up to play against each other. It could be as simple as we are a novice team or we are more advanced. It is not fun to be on a team that is just learning and plays against an advanced team.
Programs are very well organized, fun for the kids, timed well for parents, accessible for elder family members, and an overall great family experience.
Great for keeping the kids active!
My child loved their experience with flag football.
well organizes and great coaches.
Great coaches and family support
The coaches were great. Nice fields. Lots of fun for the kids.
I like everything about it, EXCEPT FOR THE TOURNAMENT SOCCER GAMES. It was absolutely horrible watching our kids through a fence! We felt so detached from our girls. And this is EVERYONE that I spoke with. I am certain that other people have complained and beg you to not have parents watch their children in tournament action through a fence!
But again, everything else is wonderful.
Abby was awesome & very helpful answering all of my questions!…The coach was a GREAT role model!…He was very knowledgeable of the game!…There were a few first timers& he was very patient with the team as a whole!…The team really had fun with lots of laughs &smiles while they learned & worked hard!…He made sure they built a brotherhood and also made sure the team encouraged each other (high fives, friendly competitive drills, claps, etc.)!…It was a very positive experience &environment!…Everyone was given a chance to play…This was my son’s first time playing flag& he really enjoyed it, especially since they made it to the championship & won!…He said he would like to play again, so I guess that means we will be back next season!…
We had a great experience with the gymnastics course at the YMCA. It was a safe and fun environment for our daughter to try out gymnastics for the first time.
Focus on fun and sportsmanship! Soccer is well organized. Childwatch available for my younger. Wish my two kiddos played in the same area.
Very familiar enviroment
Great place to have your kids get sports activites.
Been coaching for 3years and everything is ran perfect from the bottom to the top!!!
Both of my kids loved soccer through the Tuckahoe YMCA. They've had good coaches, they have learned a lot, and they have made friends with other kids on their teams. Overall, we are really happy with the soccer program.
My only complaints have to do with some of the inconsistent officiating that happens during games, especially in the 7-8 age group. I also wish that the 9-10 boys games were not always at Shady Grove. It's hard for the kids to never get to play on their home field, and some of the Shady Grove parents/Y staff do not demonstrate the best example of sportsmanship.
