Ours is a WEIRD situation, because we were in the process of trying to completely drain the propane gas tank so that the defective gauge. We were just about at that point at the WORSE possible time, considering the impending ice/freezing rain/extended sub-freezing temps. NOT a good time to run out of propane, which is our fuel source for our back-up generator.
Customer service was quick to respond and arranged for a basic supply of propane to carry us through this situation a a bit beyond.

I like the product . I have been with Virginia Propane many years. When I called to fill my tanks or top them off the propane was delivered within 2 to 3 days. Also I was left a slip showing how much propane was delivered. This time it took 18 days to get propane and nothing left to tell you how much propane you delivered.
At one time you got the village the propane was delivered.
When I called to get my tanks filled I don’t need you telling me when I will get my propane based on what you think. The service was much better before the name change to Superior Plus Propane.

In the past, prior to Superior's emails, I liked the timely gas deliveries and the friendly service. My wife and I no longer have children at home as we are almost 80 years old and only use the gas fireplace when the temperature is chilly. The implication that we are using your gas tank for anything other than heating the family room was both surprising and offensive,
I assume the recent communications with Superior came from Boston rather than Ashland. I would NOT recommend Superior to ANYONE.
Good service once you get through to someone. Had trouble trying to use online ordering and no luck getting through using the phone number given. Fortunately, I had an old number and used it to get through and got prompt service.

Ease of ordering refill.
We get notified by email of tank rental, can pay online. Although we use fireplace as supplement heat when very cold,or if power out, not like some friends that use it for more heat source, they come out for refill automatically, based on our yearly consumption, we assume.. The drivers are courteous going in and out of fence to backyard. Although pricing has gone up last couple years, it is in line with others and convenient for refills.

Virginia Propane is a good company to buy propane from. They keep a good close watch and have always brought my propane before I run too low. Ive been very happy for the years they have taken good care of me.
