I love the facility (Sea Centre) and that the classes can accommodate all levels of practioners
While the studio is in a beautiful setting and the teachers are quite good, there are a couple of ongoing issues which continue to diminish the experience at the Sea Studio:
- you have changed the layout of the foyer, but I'm not sure if this is any better than it was. It will likely always be a traffic jam as it is really too small a space to finish a class and try and retrieve your belongings - particularly while others are coming in for the next class
- the scheduling of classes is too tight. Not only would inserting a half hour instead of 15 minutes between classes alleviate part of the above space issue, but it would also allow those finishing classes to quietly close their practice without being disturbed by the next class rushing in to grab their 'favourite spots' - this happens consistently at this studio (and other Semperviva studios, as well)
- the carpeted floor. I realize this is a personal preference, but I consistently feel unstable doing yoga on this sort of surface
Thanks for listening.
Friendly, outgoing staff;
Products are great and its nice to browse before or after class;
Most of my favorite classes/instructors are at this studio;
Early morning classes.
Nothing so far, I really enjoyed the experience
Experienced instructors and friendly staff. Community oriented.
The studio setting is fabulous. Appreciate several of the teachers - not all.
Find it really irritating that those involved in Teacher Training or weekend workships talk SO LOUDLY in the waiting room area while a class is doing their final relaxation poses. Those training should know better, as should the staff. I have mentioned this to staff a couple of times.
The relaxing atmosphere. Sometimes desk staff can be a bit rude
I LOVE LOVE LOVE Emily Millen's classes. She's the best. So, I was a bit disappointed on Sunday that there was a sub (should have checked the schedule). She was OK, always a good experience being at Semp but everyone else seems to pale in comparison to Emily!
I like the number of classes and the consistently good teaching quality.
Prenatal yoga should not take place after a notoriously full and sweaty power class. It’s a horrible environment to walk into when you’re pregnant, have a heightened sense of smell and can’t control your body temperature.
Nice studio - cozy, intimate. Excellent teachers - very knowledgeable, inspiring, nice.
The quality of teachers is absolutely exceptional!!!!!!!
I love semperviva as a general comment. However, on Sundays , the class before Aili's noon power class always goes way over time and is super disrespectful to those doing the noon class. I have been a long time semperviva member and know that many in the class find it very frustrating. It cuts into our time. I don't know any other teacher who consistently goes over , almost as though on purpose. As a class, I know we would all appreciate if Peter could actually end on time.
Thank you.
I have only been the one time so far, it was a free class that a friend brought me to. You were such a breath of fresh air from so many yoga studios in Vancouver that are sorta pretentious..
You have the right spirit and attitude. And the yoga was phenomenal.
Thank you for the experience, my body is all sorts of sore.
I will be back and I will bring friends.
It's was chill and not pretentious
In the room was a terrible smell like dirty feet, the ground was dirty as well.
Beautiful studio, great teachers, awesome vobe!!
What I like most is that you offer lots of classes, at different times and professional teachers.
I really look forward to Peter's Sunday Morning Hatha Class at Kit's Beach. Peter has a gift...he's a great teacher. Love you Peter.
Lovely studio with the windows and tranquil location.
Great teacher too.
Thanks
great yoga! Thank you!!
Love the yoga and the customer service
Great teachers! Clean studios. Hot tea!
Classes are too crowded. Need more space between mats. Rooms need to be cleaned between classes. Rooms smell very musty.
Cueing for bhandas and other safety measures during twists, and generally more technical cuing including bhandas throughout- imp for yogis like myself who can be overflexible and an important habit for new students. I really appreciate teachers who include a decent amount of warm-up poses, and who don't do a ton of lunges/half moon backbends on repeat- there are so many other options for standing flows :) glad to see more seated folds and twists in the last couple weeks as seated poses were lacking in my first month. Thanks!
You are great!
.
The teachers are well trained and the staff are very friendly.
I like that the instructors play good music in class and that the power flow is an actual power flow class.

Flexibility, locations, variety of classes and instructors
