Group Cycling and Group Power gym classes have awesome instructors and music as well as the social aspect.
The culture and values of the Y are so embedded I feel them in the change room, on the floor, as I come into the building. As the Centre Y comes back from Covid - and the added challenge of a different work world in the core impacting membership - I continue to be grateful every time I come into the building (plus thanks for the secure bike parking!).

I love the aqua fit classes! I love the environment and the staff are so friendly! Honestly there is fancy branches in the city but this one always feels like home! It’s always clean and everyone working is always so helpful and encouraging! 10 out of 10 for central branch always!
As a member of the Centre Y for over 30 years, I enjoy the facilities ( pools, work out area, class (yoga) space, women's plus spa change room and the community of members as well as outreach services. Staff are always knowledgable and friendly and communication is usually clear and helpful. I have continued to trust that the Y will continue to be the best choice for my physical, emotional and social well being.

I really like the good old weights room! And the machines are great too. It is a very well run establishment and conducive for building healthy bodies and minds.

I love that there is a small fitness room in the women's plus room at CBY; it is almost always in use. I love the dry sauna and the steam room in the women's plus as well. I love that you are located down-town, serve a very diverse, inter-cultural community, and have members of all ages, of all abilities, and with various needs. CBY is a very open, welcoming, and inclusive community.
One of my favourite programs is the free adult swim lessons on Tuesday evenings. I think more adults who, like me, forgot what they learned as kids, or who never learned to swim, should give this a try. I like that there is a wide variety of programs, including yoga. I like that fitness trainers are available for one-on-one training, and programs like Y-Thrive are there to give guidance for when you need some ideas on what makes a good routine, and want to change it up every-so-often. My grandson really enjoyed the tree-house when he visited recently.
I am extremely happy that I joined the Y, and in particular, Centre Branch Y.
