The Directors and people in charge are terrific. My children have enjoyed their camp experiences.

I really like how organized the program runs. From the drop off and pick up to safety of the children. The counselors are very kind and polite. My daughter is having a wonderful time. Everyday she shares how much fun she's having and how many friends she has made.

Activities are planned well. My daughter was able to improve her swim skills and we received swim reports. The camp counselors are great and caring. They went above and beyond to make my daughter feel welcome and helped her make friends.

Quality of educational activities, friendly staff

My children had a lovely time and got really attached to the teachers/counselors.

There are lots of programs available and the activities seem to have the kids in mind.

Our girls had fun trying out new sports! A good way to get the kids outside and exercising when their parents are working. YMCA staff was very caring and attentive as always!

The whole Shady Grove team has cared for my son well over camp season and before that in preschool. My boy comes home happy, with so many things to talk about, and loves his teachers.

Love how structured the program is and how communicative the teachers are. My kids have had a lot of fun. All the arts and crafts projects are really cute. The weekly themes are fun too. Just a great program overall and I’m glad we found it. We’ll be back next summer for sure.

There is a lot of variety in programs and activities. Programs are well managed and price is reasonable.

My daughter loves it! She comes home full of new ideas and enjoys meeting new friends.

I love that they are predominantly outdoors and that the counselors seem really invested in the kids. My son loves his counselors. He connects with them very well.

I liked the combination of indoor and outdoor activities, and my kids had a blast. I liked that kids were separated by age groups unlike some camps. Drop off and pickup was smooth.

Cons- communication. I didn’t feel like I understood much about the daily schedule, maybe that was in an email that I missed. Apparently there were swim lessons, this Is totally fine with me but I didn’t even know that would be happening. A brief email with an overview of the camp activities would’ve been helpful. I’m sure this info is available somewhere but many parents like emails in their inbox.

Convenient location.

Everyday sessions, giving the kids a fun and at the same time, a thoughtful way to have them engaged. Sometimes it'd be difficult to get them adapt to the school morning hours if they have got used to the late morning schedules during holidays and this camp helps us handle that too.

My kids really enjoyed the camp! They are eager for the next one! They really loved that the staff were fun and participated in the sports/activities.
