Pool exercises
My favorite classes are yoga and total body strength. I especially like the 45 minute classes as they are just the right amount of time for my body.

The group fitness classes are led by kind, friendly, knowledgeable and motivating instructors. Plus the community members are so friendly. It’s a happy place to be!

The programs I’ve registered for have been great! The instructors are encouraging and show ways to adjust to my lower back issues and the people in the classes have been super friendly and helpful!
I mainly use the pool. It is clean and comfortable and the lifeguards are super professional and friendly. I have been to many pools over the years and this is the best.
One comment is that the air and water get too hot for me in the warmer months, starting in June. I had a month-long membership to the outdoor pool last June, which I loved because the water was still cool and the camps had not yet started. It'd be nice to have an option for outdoor lap swim in the summer, though it's unlikely I'd come in July or August because I prefer to swim in the ocean and lakes during that time.

There are many programs and activities that it's difficult to select one to take/participate. A lot of the classes are so popular it's difficult to book one.
I have been members of the YMCA for years and have used the facilities in Lynn, Saugus, Melrose, and mostly Peabody. I’ve taken many classes during this time and have had so many great instructors. When you go to a class for the first time the instructors always give clear instruction's and many options or adaptations during the workouts so you feel comfortable working at your own pace and ability.
I have recently been working with a personal trainer, Kate, at the Torigian and in a few short weeks I’ve learned so much and am seeing changes in my muscle tone and my energy levels.
My granddaughter took swimming lessons, also at the Torigian, from the time she was three years old and is now a very good, confident swimmer.
The building in Peabody is always being updated and has just had new gym equipment installed and while taking my granddaughter to Melrose for her volleyball class this week I noticed some nice changes down on the lower level where the class is held.

Equipment is well maintained. Staff is friendly. Pool is clean and gym is open most of the time we would use as a family

Love the pool and water fitness classes. Wish they did more deep end classes. The instructors all do a great job and each one is fiffetebt so i work different muscles groups each dsy.
We like ymca Torigian location because since we started all stuff are Veda kind, attention and professional ! I really recommend for friends.

Variety and instructors
I like how the Peabody facility has an indoor track.
The variety of offerings , the instructors, the clientele.
There is something for everyone from little swimmers to adults classes.

I like the variety, and the personable instructors. I also like being able to sign up for classes on line, as challenging as that can be for some. I set an alarm as a reminder, as I don't like to miss my favorites.
I do have to mention that it's getting very warm in the mind and body studio. I do hope that the windows and sunshine solution will be implemented soon!
