The Stoney Creek Express YMCA is the perfect place for seniors, adults and young adults wanting to develop and/or maintain a regular exercise program amidst their busy lives. While this smaller facility does not offer a swimming pool and other features like basketball courts and so on, it does offer an excellent assort of weight-training and cardio equipment, a decent assortment of exercise classes, and personal trainers. The facility itself is cheerful in appearance, clean and well-maintained and the staff are always friendly and welcoming. The Stoney Creek Express YMCA is a prime example of the Greensboro YMCA’s goal of creating an atmosphere of inclusiveness where ALL are welcome!
Location is great for us as we live in Stoney Creek. We don't take advantage of late afternoon programs but I may going forward to next year.
I like the feeling of family at the Y. I like that the staff tries to know everyone personally. I like the variety of activities at the Y, whether you are a beginner or expert, there is something for everyone.

MORGAN IS SO GREAT TO WORK WITH IN BOOT CAMP. SHE IS EXTREMELY ORGANIZED AND ALWAYS HAS A DIFFERENT WORKOUT FOR EACH CLASS.

I mainly use the gym for strength training and the equipment meets my needs.

The 8:00 group class for older adults is awesome. All the instructors are fun and it is exactly the length and activity I need. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to strengthen core muscles, practice balance, and get some cardio all at the same time.
