Very large fitness area. Ability to always find parking spots and good access to fitness equipment (you beat Spears Y on both those topics.)
The instructors are consistently kind and helpful.
I appreciate the availability of lap lanes for swimming
I enjoy physical therapy sessions in the pool, the indoor track for walking and the workout equipment because these activities help with my balance, flexibility and strength after receiving ACDF surgery. I also like that staff is very helpful and knowledgeable about the activities and programs offered.
I like the convenience and sense of community and inclusion.
I appreciate the class offerings and love the indoor track. I like the location of the Bryan Y as well. Micheala's Thursday evening yoga class is wonderful. No two classes with her are the same and she is such a calm and inclusive, welcoming instructor. Please consider hosting the Thursday night yoga class in a larger room. It often gets cramped in the studio and I think more people would attend if it was in a larger room.
I'm new, buI am impressed with the staff and the facility
Friendly workers, great swimming pool
I love the one on one attention and the instructors do a great job with the children
Fun..easy to register..Stuart the sports director is always willing to keep you informed and easy to talk
My son really enjoyed all the variety of activities and how he was able to meet and work with diverse populations in the community. My son loved that there were different activities each day and that the participants were able to help organize and prepare the activities as well. My son's confidence grew, and he learned a great deal about working as part of a team and how to brainstorm and lead projects. My son had a fantastic experience this summer! The staff were amazing, kind-hearted, devoted, and really enthusiastic. He would love to come back and join another group again.
I really appreciated the opportunities for interactive engagement with leaders and service organizations in the local community, as well as being pair up for some job shadowing experiences with employees at the YMCA.
I love that they youth sports for all ages, and they give free swim lessons to help kids learn how to safely swim. Also about swim safety in the pool.
The facility has everything one needs to get in shape and the staff is awesome.
They are structured and taught by caring and knowledgeable instructors
The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful.
Working with my trainer for several years has made an enormous difference in my level of fitness, my balance and strength and my ability to recover from the various injuries sustained in my profession as a potter. She is professional, upbeat, and gives meaningful feedback. It's been very helpful.
It teaches the children a safe way to learn the basics in swimming and it builds confidence.
Everything
The environment created by the pickleball and the Senior class in the mornings is inspiring.
I love that there are programs designed for senior citizens. The staff is very friendly & helpful.
A variety of exercise activities and equipment to choose from.
great group classes. friendly guest. big facility.
I mainly attend Body Pump, and the instructors are great; the community that develops within the class is also fantastic. This is why I give Bryan a 9, but......
However, I also go to Spears and I see how the other half lives. The equipment at Bryan Y is not just worn out; it is downright falling apart. Mats that, when wiped down, literally have pieces breaking off. Bar collars that have been used so many times they no longer securely keep the weights on, creating a safety hazard, and bar weights that sound like you're driving on a gravel road because they are broken inside the plastic.
Compare that with Spears, where they not only had better, less-used equipment, but that equipment was replaced with entirely new equipment, including mats and weights.
I would have at least hoped that the old equipment and mats at Spears could have been sent to Bryan as hand-me-downs to replace what is clearly beyond its lifespan.
I am strictly a swimmer, so pool maintenance is important. Very good recently.
They are available. They are safe and well planned out for the most part the safety of the pool with the lifeguard staff is excellent. The pool is clean. Excellent water aerobics classes. Temps for lap pool are good. The swimming challenges are motivational. The staff at the Y are very nice
Teachers, time offers,music routine
The programs that I am in are geared to my age group and they fit my schedule.
