I love the swimming exercise classes. Laurie and Arlene do a good job. I just wish Laurie’s class was in the morning rather than 2 pm in the middle of the afternoon.

As I have said before, all the group classes that I normally attend more or less regularly: boot camp, body pump, body balance and spinning, are each lead by enthusiastic and dedicated instructors who want to make sure you have a healthy and invigorating experience. The instructors who sub for them are likewise dedicated and enthusiastic. My wife regularly attends Senior Fit and finds the camaraderie of her classmates and physical routines employed by her instructors very enjoyable.

I like all the facilities and activities, and the recent update of the YMCA app with online on-demand classes as well as a schedule of all activities is very appealing.

The pool and gym are great but the lifeguards are very inconsistent in how they manage the pool lap swimming traffic. I personally have been hit many times by people jumping Into lap lanes without asking or assuming circle swimming. Not everyone can or should circle swim (people swim at different speeds, strokes, levels). Last week, another lady and myself were kicked out of a lane we had been sharing for less than 30 minutes by a guard because we didn’t feel comfortable circle swimming. There was already a dedicated circle swim lane next to us. This woman complained because we both told her we didn’t feel comfortable circle swimming when she asked if she could slide into our lane. She refused to wait her turn for a lane to open or to swim in the circle swim lane open next to me and immediately told the guard to make our lane a circle swim lane. We both got out after being forced out by the guard and she and another swimmer took the lane over without circle swimming. It was not fair (we were there when the pool opened so we could share a lane) and she could have waited her turn or gotten in the circle swim lane that was already dedicated. This same guard has been inconsistent in implementing the rules in the past and is quite frankly never very friendly.
I love the pool but get very anxious swimming not knowing if someone is going to jump in and hit me while lap swimming (can’t see in front of me) or the fear of being forced out of my lane by an unseasoned lifeguard because another swimmer wants to force me to circle swim when a dedicated lane is already open or she could wait her turn like everyone else that visits the pool.

I love the fact that there are numerous types of activities and programs suited for every adult, children, and famly.

First name removed likes all his peers, and the people that come there. THe lives working out upstairs with the machines and weights. He is not too familiar with the other programs/activities.

I like the convenience, the staff are warm and helpful answering questions and the large variety of weights, classes, equipment and pool programs are very appealing to me and my family.
