It’s hard to point to one thing. Every time I walk in, Im warmly welcomed into a calming space. Dainty is a massage therapist par excellence and each time I spend time with her, Im recovered.

I first discovered Aveda salons in 2005 when I lived in the San Francisco Bay Area and saw many excellent hair stylists during my years of living there. When I moved to Winston-Salem, I was happy to find the Van Davis Aveda salon, and after reading many online reviews, I chose Chris. I am so grateful I did! After receiving a haircut and color from him I have to say that hands-down he’s the best stylist I’ve ever had for several reasons: Not only is Chris very personable (our interesting, enjoyable conversation made the time fly by) he also listened intently as I explained what I wanted, looked carefully at the photos I showed him, studied my face with the eyes of an artist and gave me a haircut and color treatment that was precisely what I’d asked for. I was thrilled with the results and have received many compliments on my new hairstyle.
I was also very impressed by the front desk staff who greeted me right away, offered me a choice of beverages, and gave me a sample of their excellent Hand Relief moisturizing cream. Thank you, Chris and the Van Davis Aveda staff!
