Many to pick from and at all times
Cleanliness, good equipment, close to where we live.
Like the pickleball and want more!
The yoga and pilates reformer classes are absolutely my favorite! I really appreciate having 8ish am classes so I can get in and out before starting my work day. Having a daily yoga option is greatly appreciated.
Please buy a trap bar for the Frankfort Y

Clean and family friendly environment
Friendly and helpful staff
Group exercise classes.
I like that they are in a facility which is close to my home
I've only been at your location a few times. I work on the North side of Lexington so this location is convenient as i live in Richmond.
I am a new member, a senior who joined through the Silver Sneakers benefit her employer offers. On my first day, I found one of the coaches in the “machine” room to tailor my workout to desired strength and cardio goals. The coach has been with the Y organization for more than twenty years, which is a good recommendation in and of itself. I had good orientation and training. I have not joined any classes but may do so in the future
The dressing/rest rooms for women are clean and well maintained. Check-in is easy, and the desk staff is friendly.
Convenience, cleanliness, quality machines gray basketball gym for my teenage son
Environment, cleanliness and class teachers are all great.
The Whitaker Y offers a wide variety of group fitness classes every single day! The facility is always clean and the staff friendly.
I like the location and also the variety of programs offered
It’s a great environment and great for working out and also very nice for families to bring kids and have a great time.
Clean facility and Family like atmosphere, A great facilitie to workout at , good for families, lot of different types of exercise classes to participate in. ❤️💪🏾💯
Super nice people who work there. Very clean and a lot of varied equipment.
The only negative is the hours. It closes really early every day, but especially on the weekends.
Also, when something is broken it can be slow to replace which is sometimes frustrating.
Great instructors, variety of classes. Great place to meet new friends. It is very clean as well
the indoor walking track
I did senior water aerobics but had to stop because water was way too cold.
Friendly staff
Love the track and equipment. Once COVID is over plan to get into water aerobics and some of the senior classes. Really want to learn pickelball but waiting to see if YMCA gets an instructor. If not, I will go to the Senior center in the spring for their classes
Especially like your new facility in the Hamburg area . also like the fact I join the Y & there are facilities in various parts of town available to me . I do not participate in your programs but may in future .
Love the pool for toddlers
I love the Y. I really enjoy the group classes.
High quality facility with great programs and great people!

Hello,
I recently joined the Y and have been very pleased. The main things I like:
The cleanliness of the facility. I use the gym, locker room, and sauna and I am impressed with the cleanliness. It also is good to see employees actively cleaning the facility through the day. Makes a big difference and is so different than the cleanliness of other large gyms. Please tell those employees that what they do makes a big difference. Management is doing a good job in making this happen too.
Employees are very friendly. This makes a big difference.
The Biblical quote in the gym. It is nice to see the Biblical quote presented on the gym wall. It speaks to the Y’s roots and that the Y is not just another gym, like a Planet Fitness. There is a spiritual component. It gives the Y a wholesome disposition and I don’t want the Y to lose this. I think there should be more of these Biblical quotes. The messages influence the atmosphere very positively.
Recommendations:
Clocks in the sauna and steam room.
More treadmill options. Specially an “assault runner pro” type treadmill. This is the kind you power by running. There is something similar in the functional fitness room but it squeaks when you use it and I think it is actually broken. Also, the current treadmills seem a little old.
Taking steps to ensure the aquatic center doesn’t close down for such an extended time as it did recently.
Enforcing the no street shoe in sauna/steam room rule. Members are walking in the sauna in their street shoes and it seems unsanitary.
Install a water fountain/station by the pool.
