My first visit. I live in Frankfort, so I hadn’t been here before. I struck by the differences between this new flagship YMCA, and our facility in Frankfort.

I primarily only use the gym area that provides any and all aerobic and anaerobic activities. Some particular segments of exercise are getting a bit overcrowded and overused such as the four recumbent stationary bikes overlooking the pool. I mention overused because various things break frequently such as the fans, but the TV’s are always malfunctioning. As of late, only one TV works correctly, two are totally out and one has a very fuzzy picture. And this is a perpetual problem that has never been totally fixed. Most of the treadmills are nice, but even they seem to have TV problems.

I do believe that because of heavy use, various weight machines are getting harder to access, but I adjust my schedule to come in between 11AM and 3PM.

This should be considered just modest comments as the overall gym and its environs are a tribute to a well tended and administered organization that provides tremendous benefits to our local society. Since I live in close proximity, Whitaker is an absolute godsend for me.

And people like Will and Ron are SUPER.

It's a beautiful facility with a nice pool and exercise rooms. A lot of good classes to take.
Would someone please check the showers in the women's dressing room? Several of them have very loud squeaky pipes when the water is running. It has not always been this way.

I love this YMCA, installations, workout equipment, pools, sauna, jacuzzi, all kind of classes this place is awesome! 👏

Always clean and lots of stuff to help stay fit. Love the pickleball courts.

There are plenty of classes that fit my needs as a senior adult. I am interested in the walking track, the e-gym, and the Silver Sneaker classes. The facility is so lovely!

Clean, well maintained facilities. Staff and instructors are kind and knowledgeable; very helpful. Variety of classes.

Instructors are all very good- very positive and upbeat and know their stuff. If you can't do something they all give alternative ways. I have been very pleased with all of the classes taken. i can't say enough good about the Whitaker YMCA.

We love the Y- from the many classes offered for children and adults to the family events they plan and provide to the community. The Y staff is always smiling, supportive, and ready to lend a hand when needed.
