I enjoy the group exercise classes. You meet new people who consistently come to the same class, and it makes for a more enjoyable workout.

Water Aerobics!!
I know the classes are called Aquacise and Deep Water, etc.
The 9 am classes in the pool M/W/F at Southwest YMCA in Omaha are my favorite!
Cathi is an amazing instructor and so is Honey!
All the instructors are great!
I truly appreciate Child Watch because it means I can bring my children to be cared for by trusted individuals in the summer and still attend the above classes and keep up with my exercise routine! And I'm very glad to know there will be a place for my 10 year old.
I love the mossa classes. Please add more. I love that I can go to any class and get the same exercises. I also love Anna’s classes. They kick my butt. However I like the challenge
Love the pickleball program.
Swimming with Karissa
Dear YMCA,
My son Tim is the boys varsity basketball head coach at Millard South High School.
Although I live at 45th & Center, I intend to utilize both the Southwest YMCA and
the Armbrust YMCA at 168th & Q to do upper and lower body stretching and
lifting. I will be using the fitness equipment but not free weights. At age 71,
I no longer run but do remain outdoor active by cycling and also walking with
my wife in our Morton Meadows neighborhood. Bicycling includes the Field Club
Trail, the South Omaha Trail and the Keystone Trail. Before age 50 I ran 45 marathons
(26.2 miles).
I would like to take advantage of the two free sessions with a trainer to make sure
I am utilizing the exercise equipment in proper fashion.
Thank you.

We like the NUStep to help keep in shape
Jackie W. is excellent.
Inclusive, wide selection, and most importantly - a genuine staff that radiates the YMCA mission
We need a silver sneakers class at 1:00. We had 3 before Covid.
I am currently in the cancer survivor class and it is wonderful at SW Y
The instructors are amazing, and they make the exercise activities fun, especially Heather teaching the cardio class. I am so glad I learned about the Y through a friend, and as an added benefit my membership is paid through my insurance. Even if it wasn't, it is a terrific bargain.
I feel that along with getting great exercise, I have begun to think of it as a social outing also as I have met so many great people there.
It is time so well spent. Thank You "Y"
So over sneakers
Staff are very patient with kids, and they all seem to genuinely like their job. Facilities are clean and not crowded when we go.
I like being able to swim laps.
Small classes, good teachers
The diversity offered makes me so happy and I know I am much better fit because of the Y
Love Zumba with Lori. Please offer more Zumba classes
I really like chair yoga. Martina is wonderful!
JACKIE MAKES SILVER SNEAKERS SOOOO MUCH FUN!!!!!!
I am only in one class at the SW Y,but love it and the instructor Heather, Armbrust is actually closer for me, so I do a couple classes there too.
Friendly staff.
The size of xlasses
I love being able to drop my toddler off at child watch and know that she is going to be well-loved and taken care of while I exercise. I should have joined the Y sooner!

The staff at the Southwest YMCA is always friendly and helpful! There are also less people working out at a time which makes it easier to get equipment. The hours for the pool are ideal!
