I only use the pool for aquatic classes. Amy R and Marilee do a great job. Would really like to see a Saturday class added back in.
I enjoy swimming laps and the occasional yoga and strength training. The staff is very friendly and make it a pleasant part of my day.

Nice variety of classes which is helpful for me since I'm just getting back into exercising after a long hiatus from exercising.

Workout in cardio and then weights.
The community.
Nice energetic knowledge teachers and friendly classmates so far.
I attended 3 classes so far.
After taking a 2 year Leave of Absence from the Maple Street YMCA, I have noticed it is a new and improved facility. The atmosphere is positive with a true sense of community. In there past there were morale issues and lots of problems with the building itself (leaky roof, poor AC, etc.). In the past the Instructors, though very dedicated, seemed to be under a lot of pressure and were always uncertain about their employment status. Some really good Instructors were let go, which has been a loss. However, the new batch of Instructors are excellent. The Maple Street YMCA is a good place and the new spinning bikes, treadmills, and weigh equipment are a welcome change. The building itself still needs some help. It is a bit disappointing the the greater Omaha YMCA can invest large sums in new Ys, but not in the older urban facilities.
Still getting to know how things work so have not had much time to see all you offer so far good!!
I am in live strong and it is amazing! Very friendly and welcoming centers
Your instructors, and classes
The facilities are always clean
Your staff is friendly and will go out of their ay to help you
I have a better life because of the Y
I love the variety of yoga classes. That and the rowing machines are about the only things I use at the Y. It’s a great location for me.
The classes in strength and conditioning (body pump) and all the step aerobics classes.
I am limited by a bad back, so am glad to have access to a Nu-Step.
Small classes! Instructors seem to know what works to teach kids how to swim and make it fun.
All the instructors are so great with the kiddos and Jasmin and Abbey and Abby are pretty amazing too!
Pros: Fellow members. Instructors. Variety
Cons: Gets hot in there now that summer is here... like the AC isn't working. Sometimes it's just really humid. Classrooms are kinda bare and not many people in class. Could use more classes.
Everything!!!!!
Ability to participate "virtually". (Looking to rejoin in-house classes after improving my strength, balance and stamina while working out at home).
Only been to aquatics
Very friendly staff. I really like the pool.
The aquatics. Despite life guard shortages there are good options to use the pool. Doing a good job of keeping it staffed.
Pool always clean. Always a good temperature. Locker rooms clean.
People are friendly, and the gym feels spacious and bright.
I like all the instructors, they are fun and engaged. They tell you ways to modify the moves to your ability.
Bodypump
Good choice of classes and great instructors
The Y has a variety of activities for all ages and the staff is great!
How small they are. Really like being able to park in a parking lot that’s not overrun by lots of traffic.
Swimming pool

There is a wide variety of activities to choose from, based on individual skill levels. The facility is clean. Day care. Staff friendly and helpful
