Our family has been associated with the South Oakland YMCA family for more than 35 years. Our kids grew up there - swim lessons, martial arts, dance, and summer camp. One of our daughters even became a summer camp counselor on break from college. Throughout the years we've grown with the Y, and watched it grow. I served on the committee to raise funds to build the gym decades ago and sat on the South Oakland YMCA Board for more than 10 years. Now, my grandkids are Y attendees, and I'm enjoying my Silver Sneakers membership. The years passed quickly, but thanks to our Y family, they've passed happy and healthy!

Staff is friendly and helpful. Plenty of exercise equipment. An indoor track which is unique to this location. I can get my walking done no matter the weather.
