Customer service
I like going to the YMCA at Royal Oak. Great pool and an excellent gym. Very friendly staff.
Friendly staff and plenty of workout equipment in very clean environment. Great programs for kids and seniors!
I like that people from all types of backgrounds use the Y, no gym bros making the rest of us feel uncomfortable.
I love the group senior exercises that I attend every week.
The staff, but can you please extend the hours , the hours are terrible LA. Fitness has longer hours, the pandemic has been over for 4 years !!
The friendliness of the staff and fellow members.
More group aquatics have been added. Just need a Friday am class.
All equipment and exercise space is very accessible. The personnel is very friendly
The water aerobics classes and the fitness room
The variety of senior citizen classes and how they are scheduled.
My experience at the Y has led to an overall improvement in every area of my life. I'm able to access fitness classes and equipment that is strengthening my body, elevating my mind and lifting my sprits. I feel strong and happy. My family and I are making friends and building community. It feels good to be connected.
The members and the teachers are so welcoming and make me feel part if a community not just an exercise class.
Swimming in the pool and availability of TRX.
Nice place and staff
Clean, good selection of activities.
Compared to the Planet Fitness gym the Y is way more conducive accept for the old guy with the handle bar mustache I love the YMCA
Friendly staff and non-intimidating cardio/weight room.
Great classes!
The classes. Donna who is the Pilates instructor on Saturday is the absolute best. She is so personable and she makes everyone feel comfortable.
Love this facility. Friendly staff, convenient ease
After a short stint at another gym I was happy to come back to the YMCA - their programs, staff and overall atmosphere were big considerations in that decision.
Zumba classes
The warm welcoming sense of community. The quality of the classes offered is A+ The sprawling room to workout. The professionally run pool. Xander. I witnessed him save a life making it look like it was easy. Haha -- he is excellent and has layers and volumes of walking information about swimming - He should be made the director of swimming. Rook is smart too but rarely around. The quality serenity, and variations of Kirsten's yoga classes are some of the best in town.
I visited in here 10 years ago and thought it looked run down and dumpy. Now I am a new member in 2024 and think it looks fresh and revitalized. The whites and the lost dingy beiges make it seem clean. People here are pretty friendly but are also serious about working out but don't chat too much. Not a big fan of all the kids being around and screaming but I do like the inclusion of individuals with special needs. Parents seem desperate for conversations but are usually distracted by their children offering an escape to get back to working out.
