Family friendly, accessible for those with special needs. Lots of work out equipment and therapy pool as well as lap pool, sauna, programs!
The facility has everything and the people are friendly that I met. It has a lot to offer for seniors.
The family environment
The ability to make friends with the people you see on a regular basis. Very intimate environment-conducive to being social ( not loud!). Always seem management walking around checking on your comfort level & satisfaction. Clean - repairs to equipment made quickly

The classes, the teachers, the family atmosphere, the friendly staff, the hours, the location
All get a 10
I left my swimsuit there, called after I realized this, and someone quickly retrieved and secured my suit for pickup next visit. Thank you YMCA!!!
My Rehabilitation specialist recently recommended that I enroll in a warm water, Aqua Therapy program to address my back and knee pain issues as well as a strengthening, balance and stability program. Of the three facilities in our area, it was the Farmington Hills YMCA that offered the most options in terms of it's facility and classes (days and times).
Additionally, I was most impressed with their warm water pools and a jacuzzi pool available to me at the Farmington YMCA.
And, last, but certainly not least are the many knowledgeable and helpful YMCA teaching staff and front desk staff. I am enjoying my classes, anticipating better health and making new friends.
Welcoming and very friendly staff and members!!
Great facility. Everybody that works there is nice, helpful, and with great attitudes.
Having two pools and a hot tub and inside track and very helpful and friendly employees

A wonderful place with very helpful and pleasant people! The Y does so much for the Community in so many ways helping families and individuals!
Great customer service, caring professional people. Just a good all around the place to come
Great instructors.
1. All of the staff is friendly and outgoing. They make us feel like part of the family.
2. We love the therapy pool and the spa at the Farmington Y. Our weekend water exercise really helps us manage the aches and pains that accompany the aging process. Every Y should have a warm pool and a hot tub!
(3. Did you know there's a Dairy Queen next door?)
I love this Y because all the employees are very helpful and friendly. The facility is very well lighted up and clean. I have enjoyed the exercise classes offered and met some awesome people.
As a senior member of the Y for decades, it breaks my heart to see how few members have "come back" to the Y after all the unfounded threats based on no science about COVID-19.
In the past few days we've heard from several "experts" within the medical and scientific communities who have finally admitted they were wrong about the threat... and are now asking for our forgiveness. What they're saying that we should even grant them amnesty for the horror they knowingly inflicted upon us out of their own ignorance.
Back in the early days of COVID, even the YMCA was closed down for months and, after finally reopening, we were told to wear a mask, stay at least six feet from anyone else, etc. Now, they admit that masks (other than certified surgical-grade masks) don't work, and that the six-foot story was never based on science!
I was in the Wellness Center today, along with an embarrassingly few others, including some who, like obedient children, continue to wear cloth or paper masks. Do people pay attention ONLY to mainstream media pundits who, themselves, fail to acknowledge the current "news" that they were all wrong from the beginning?
I would like to think that the Y will conduct its own research into what the current thinking is among respected medical and scientific communities, and work to communicate true findings to all members, assuring them of their personal safety without regard to each person's former (now debunked) beliefs.
the pool is amazing , lots of lanes, love the water aerobics class.
(wish there were more afternoon and evening hours, but I understand it is expensive to have life guards)
The facilities are clean and up-to-date. The staff is helpful and friendly. And it's rarely crowded.
