I take group fitness classes and appreciate the expertise of my instructors.
Upon entering the building, checking in was seamless. The staff greets the members. My daughter attends the tiny chef beginner's class. The staff teaching it are welcoming and engaging. They make sure that all of the kids are involved in preparing the food and cooking it. My daughter has such a fun time.
The instructor ( Lynn) is very helpful, kind, patient and she truly care about all her clients whether their a beginner or a veteran in her class. She also understands if you need to take a break and yet she doesn't judge you for taking a break.
The coaches on the staff show so much patience and kindness towards my child and he has a blast while he’s there. Wonderful community at the Farmington Y.
Have had a great experience so far! Though I wish there were more classes offered at this location.

I do wish there were blow dryers to dry hair after swimming and showers.
The class meets all of my needs (Adult Beginning Swim), the facilities are clean and spacious, and the staff from the desk to the instructor are professional and friendly!
The senior fitness classes are good. The negative about the ymca in Farmington Hills is that the warm therapy pool isn't very warm and even worse, it's rarely open.

The staff and lifeguards are friendly and courteous. I enjoy the instruction aquatic classes. The classes are stimulating and structured. It’s great to meet and socialize with new people.

I take the senior noon exercise classes. Jamie is an exceptional teacher, so I am so glad, now that Kayanne has left, that Jamie is also teaching the Wednesday class.
I think the classes are very well-rounded, so I feel like I am working all parts of my body.
I also find it is a very friendly group of people that attend the classes, so it's a great atmosphere.

The welcome staff are so kind and always offer a smile. The instructors are helpful and encouraging. The equipment is just what I need to get in my cardio and strength training. I like how they serve the community in various ways.
The pool aerobics is beyond amazing!
In one hour, I get a workout for my whole body and great cardio too! The instructor, Lisa, continually challenges me to gain more muscle and endurance to keep me strong and healthy.
It’s a no brainer to join this exercise group twice weekly at least!

If you are personally motivated to push yourself, then group classes are an efficient, enjoyable and financially affordable option for improving your fitness. Also, very good access to fitness equipment.

The Zumba class that I attend is energetic, fun and a great work out.
