I was a member before the first Covid outbreak in 2020, just returned this year and was happy to see the improvements in the womens locker room. I love doing laps on sunny days, just wished you had more pooo hours and hope that will change as the pandemic improves .
The front desk staff are very friendly and helpful. My daughters are taking ballet and they ADORE their teacher Ms. Bri (I am unsure of correct spelling). She is so patient, kind, and encouraging to all the kids. She is a wonderful teacher!

I love the Southgate Y! Locker rooms are always clean and have everything you need. The classes are fun and are available for all ages and levels of fitness. I also enjoy walking the track with my dad every morning

They have a lot of good equipment at Southfield YMCA. Much better than those other jyms.
It’s an incredible facility with a number of group fitness classes and large pool to accommodate all types of swimmers. I really did the spin classes and they are one of the primary reasons I drive from Downtown Detroit.

The running/walking track is my favorite aspect of the Downriver Y. Winter running is tough with the cold and ice. So many other options as well. Love the new lockers!
