I like the improvements being made at this facility. They have added more classes.
I try to attend the adult older fitness class at least three times a week. The classes tend to fit requirements needed to keep you in shape. You offer two classes that offer weights, one for stretching and one for fun that tones and stretches. In addition the instructors are very good.
I love the pool class with Nancy! She was so kind! Everyone in the class was really sweet, and it was fun!
Malissa is my instructor for 3 classes I take every week. She is great, motivational, always has a modification if needed. Truly pumps up the class. She is the best!

Very spacious, very clean and the locker room and gym amenities are fantastic! I can come here and feel totally comfortable during my workout, no judgy eyes like your average gym. I will always pick YMCA over any other places!

Water classes are very helpful for my well being. The Coach Nancy is very friendly, caring, knowledgable, and patient. The facilities are available most of the day.

Great place for whatever you need to do
The downriver Y is big and clean, with many options for exercise and well-being. I especially liked the pool and indoor walking (or running) track. The staff at the desk were very friendly and informative.

The people at the front desk are welcoming and helpful. My swim coach, Nancy, is caring and helps me to be the best i can be! She has a great sense of humor! She encourages the community we have built within the class. I would HIGHLY recommend. I went from using a walker to rarely using a cane!
My recent YMCA visit was for swimming laps. I loved that more than half of the lap lanes were available, and not being used for lessons.

The whole family can enjoy! Parents can workout while children play! We love the pool and hot tub the best. I think the locker rooms could be cleaner, often smells like urine due to old diapers being in the trash cans all day.
Disappointed that more and more insurance gym memberships are no longer accepted, silver sneakers, etc....Thank you...Fortunately I have renew active thru UHC...

Instructors are motivational, encouraging, and knowledgeable. They dedicate time to organizing their classes and provide a positive, inclusive atmosphere. The classes that we take work well with our schedule and are included in our YMCA membership.
It would be nice to have more offerings (maybe at 11 am or so) of very popular classes to allow more people to benefit from them. We would love pilates as an option too. Saturday is missed as well by some of our friends.
