It would be perfect if the management would have the pool tiles scrubbed in the overflow trough. There is an excessive amount of mildew and mold on them and it's very unhealthy.

I enjoy the classes
Love the group classes. The instructors Teri, Cathy and Lynda are well trained and enthusiastic. I attend Liw Impact, Stretch, Chair Yoga and Silver Sneakers.
It's close to me and the people are friendly.

I usually use royal oak and this was my first time there. Staff was very nice and helpful. Locker room was spacious and clean. Showers clean.
Not sure if this is a usual occurrence or just trying to figure out swim schedules,... I had scheduled a one hour lap swim. When I got there at the appointed time I asked the lifeguard where I should go and they directed me to the middle lane as there were lessons in all the others.
Maybe 20 minutes later I was asked if I could move to the first lane as they needed the middle lane for something else. Fine. Five minutes later another instructor asked me if I could move to the second lane because the lane I was in was reserved for lessons. Ok...
Like I said, everyone was very nice and polite about it. Just seemed a little unorganized.

What I like best about the YMCA is going to class and exercising I feel like my body is getting stronger and stronger. I like that everyone in my class is so helpful and friendly. My swimming instructor Mary is very helpful.
