I enjoy the fact that the Birmingham YMCA is relatively small and yet has all of the most up-to-date weight lifting equipment. I can park, walk in, and work out, and be back home within a short period of time.
I liked all the services of YMCA! Perfect gym, pool, kids’ room! And the people there are more than kind!
It has good exercise program but it is crowed building. Not compare to Auburn HILL YMCA. But unfortunately that facility is now closed. It was very mordent & friendly.
The silver sneaker class is terrific-a great and balanced workout!

Dan Marsh is an excellent Executive Director., Who's a great leader, friend and door is always open to members advice and business conversation.
Terri Keller is an excellent Associate Director in her field of membership. programs, sports.
and fitness. She also, has her doors open to membership concerns and opinions.
Last, our current support staff is great as well and helpful when need be.

I love the Wellness Center. I had a session with Flavia last week and she instructed me on all of the machines. Of course I was doing them all wrong!! If I exercise it must be first thing in morning, otherwise, nada. So my 8-9 time slot is perfect for me 3 days per week. Thinking of upping it to the Silver Sneakers class on Tuesdays as well. Thanks

Staff is extremely helpful, Y is clean and always am able to work out and swim. All the instructors are knowledgeable and want their students to exercise to the best of their ability.

Just started coming to use the pool. The staff is lovely from the front desk staff, lifeguards, instructors to the custodial staff. Clean and well maintained. Really trying to make a sense of community by always seeing groups gathering for coffee in the morning.

New pool hours are great. Pool temperature has generally been held at an appropriate level for lap swimming.
The YMCA should purchase a digital pool thermometer to be able to continue to maintain the temperature on a consistent basis. Understand there currently is not a working thermometer.
