I love the Salem YMCA. The staff is amazing and always ready to help. The building is always VERY clean. I wouldn't consider going anywhere else to exercise and swim.
The y is a very friendly place that everyone will love to be in.
It's great, but the swimsuit squeezer device in the Mens' room is weird.
I enjoy the friendships I have formed from my membership. Some of the best I've had. I especially enjoy and appreciate paulines aquarobics class. She is a great leader of that group.

I like about the program the different activities that they have also I love the happy face on my daughter's when she talks about how much fun and excitement she feel every time she goes to the program.

While the Salem Y is probably the oldest and smallest Y on the North Shore, it is the nicest and funkiest space and everyone is very friendly there. I like that the staff greets you when you enter and says goodbye when you leave. I can't say that about the Marblehead Y, the other Y which I frequent. The women's locker room at the Salem Y is very clean, also. The showers in the Marblehead Y, on the other hand, are dirty (clumps of hair and Bandaids, and dangerous bits of soap in the showers) and EVERYONE is using her cell phone in the locker room and sauna, despite signs that say THIS IS A CELL PHONE-FREE ZONE. Women in the Salem Y tend to follow the rule about not using cell phones in the locker room and in the sauna.

- Not that I’m watching tv when I’m exercising, but sports-related, business news, are more relevant content than talk shows like The View. Get members in the right “grove” by showing contents that are fitness related.
