Golf is an individual sport. This format brings the team dynamics which is great for young golfers.
Our neighborhood has a great program! The coaches are wonderful and encouraging. They know when to provide instruction and when not to which leads to the perfect balance of learning and fun for the kids.
I know it has to be a lot of work to organize and deal with many of the kids, but they are excellent and we really enjoy it.

It makes it more fun, creates a true team environment from a pretty individualized sport, and also takes some of the pressure off of golfers due to the format. It has been an AMAZING experience for both of our boys, who have now aged out of the younger group. Unfortunately, we have been unable to find a teen option for them. Either no other golfers sign up, or the coaches don’t want to do the older group. Hopefully the 17u gets more focus going forward, because teens really need this opportunity.
