The Jr. League gives my son the chance to be around other kids his age that enjoy the game of golf and around a good group of coaches and instructors that genuinely care about the kids and helping them enjoy the game and getting better.
The encouragement, these young athletes are given by their coach Adam Fangman. The environment is fun and makes it more enjoyable for them to learn and grow in this sport.
I love that it’s a teaching league. The matches we had where there was a pro present teaching the kids golf etiquette along with skills like reading the green, slowing down pace, breathing was extremely helpful for the young inexperienced players.
Casey Schnieder was the most positive, uplifting and high energy coaches we could have asked for. He makes the game extremely fun for the kids, which is exactly what they need at this age. I would highly recommend him and this program to anyone.
I liked the setup of having both a practice and matches. I was very impressed with our coach as well.
I loved the actual match play. It allowed my daughter to feel what it’s like to actually play real competitive golf. Often times in youth sports, it’s so far from the real thing that you end up thinking your kid really loves the sport but find out years later when things ramp up that they do not. The format, schedule, and seriousness allowed me to identify that my daughter truly does love golf and wants to continue this passionately.
The pga junior league is a priceless commodity for any community to have. Especially when you have a staff like the ones at Nevel Meade golf course. What a great opportunity for kids to learn and help grow the game of golf, and also create lifelong friendships while doing so. Great work!
I like that my son had access to play on the golf course. I liked the scramble format. It helped boost my son’s confidence when playing in a match. It also fostered teamwork and working together with others.
I thought the pros/instructors were fantastic! They all truly care about the kids and teaching them not only the fundamental of golf, but how to conduct themselves on the course. These are great life lessons for the kids. My son loves the game of golf because of these guys. My son is also gaining more confidence off the course and has made some great friends. I couldn't be happier with the program and with the pros who make it happen!
