Learning the rules of the game.
Competition, friends, instruction, fun, learning
The coaches are great. It's laid back. Not too demanding. Love the colors of the uniforms. Great learning experience.
Great support!
Great way for my daughter to learn the game of golf in a great atmosphere!
The instruction and events put on by the Gold Academy in Louisville, KY.
Teaching kids the right way to play golf and be a good sport
Great way for kids to like golf!
great social sport between kiddos, one-on-one teaching with coaches and assistant coaches, experiencing new golf courses and fun adventures!
The encouraging, positive atmosphere. The kids were able to learn with out a lot of pressure.
It was a fun experience for the entire family. We roamed in small galleries of parents and supporters in our visitor cart. Great supportive atmosphere. My daughter really enjoyed the scramble style matches. Great practices run by knowledgeable coaches I have already recommended the league to friends. I signed up the first day fall ball was open.
We tremendously enjoy the PGA in Shelby County. We have amazing coaches who are dedicated to growing young golfers. With the various ages and levels of golfers, our child has the capacity to learn from others but also be a leader on the course.
It creates excitement with all of the children and makes them want to practice and creates camaraderie. I have never seen so many children at their country club interested in golf!
I like the skills that the kids learn.
we enjoyed it!!
My first tournament as a kid I shot 115 while the other kid I was playing shot 71. Was very nervous and didn't feel like I belonged. PGA Jr league introduces kids to tournament golf in a relaxed stress free setting.
Adam, the coach. Great with the kids, makes the tournaments fun for the kids
Love the format. Seems age appropriate. Boys and girls enjoy it.
Friendly competition and excellent teaching!
Great way to engage kids of all talent levels!
What's not to like? The matches teach the kids about team play, competition, and how to think around the golf course. And they have a blast!
We loved our local League they made it very fun for the kids and also enjoyable for the adults
It was a terrific learning experience for our 11 yr old daughter. Matt Bloom at South Park is clearly passionate about youth golf and was the best introduction to the sport we could have imagined! My 9 yr old son wants to join her next session and our family enjoyed this very much.
Very well organized and the professionals who worked with the kids were top notch. Can’t thank Olde Stone enough for opening this up for the community at large. We will be back should the program run again next year.
First, is our coach. Adam was outstanding with all the kids. I feel like he took a personal interest in each child. He would stay after putting , talking, etc... not many coaches would do that! I loved the discipline and values taught to our kids.
I liked that it gave the kids some competitive experience with the game and encouraged the sportsmanship during events that the game of golf is known for. I liked that even though the kids were competing you'd often see them talking to each other in between holes and just generally having a good time just being out on the courses.
I would regularly hear parents talking about the sportsmanship displayed during events whether it was from a young man standing over one of our kid's balls to use a laser rangefinder to get him an exact distance or the hats off handshakes after the rounds.
It was a nice departure from sports like football and baseball with coaches yelling at kids to a calm, organized, league that encourages the best parts of youth sports.
The opportunity it gave my child
Learned a great number of skills and great connections

We absolutely love PGA Jr. League! His coach is amazing, super patient, very knowledgeable and encouraging. We love the match play aspect of getting to work with a teammate and build confidence. We have really loved seeing our son make great friends that he will be playing with throughout high school. The All-Star tournaments are lots of fun and it's great to be surrounded by such respectful kids who cheer for each other. We highly recommend PGA Jr. League!
