My son played for Dave VanDeventer on the Piney point team in Norwood, North Carolina.
This was his third year. We have met some great people being involved in this program. Great kids and parents as well.
I think the PGA Jr League is absolutely fantastic for everyone involved.

Coach Mike Abate is great with the kids.
My son has the opportunity to play with other kids who love golf as much as he does!
The feeling of community and the challenges for the kids!
While golf is typically an individual sport, PGA Jr. League created a team atmosphere. The coaching was also a positive.
The concept of the format for the kids to play without pressure and to have fun.
Our son meeting new people, playing experiences with others and different courses
Fun and easy way to get kids more into golf.
Close feel to little league baseball. Kids got to feel real competitive golf at an early age.
Team opportunity is rare for junior golf. This is a team environment that suits new and skilled players.
I like the fun atmosphere. The other players and families were great! And it really helped my daughter.
We enjoyed that it was played like a captain's choice event where there was more fun and less super competitiveness and pressure
They work with kids of many color and with their heart

Great experience! Child fell in love with the game.
My son loves the format and the team.
Please get a fall league! No teams are registered in our area.
My son very much enjoyed this (and so did I).
Two important parts immediately come to mind:
#1. The coaches were fantastic in their ability to work and adapt with many different children and reach the common goals. You could see that each coach genuinely enjoyed working with the kids and seeing to it that they took the game seriously yet gave plenty of room for fun.
#2. Getting the kids on the course, learning the rules of the game and actually playing matches of 9 holes. They were not stuck at the driving range the whole time. This made a HUGE impact on our son. Before PGAJr League he liked the idea of golf (because all he knew was the driving range) and after completing his first session with PGAJr League he absolutely loves the game. He’s pushing his dad to the course every chance he can now.
Meet new players
My daughter enjoyed the change of pace and getting to play with other kids. Not every shot relied on her.
Great experience for the kids. Well run program at PCC!
Organisation, introduction to competitive golf that gives all abilities chance to enjoy and succeed.
Special mention to Brian Burgwyn Prestonwood who is a rock star
Pretty much everything
Coaches are everything! They’re wonderful with the children and engage them in a way that teaches them golf skills and etiquette while making them love the sport.
Loved the Captain's Choice format. The uniforms are great and my child had a great time playing on the courses.
The supportive coaches ! First name removed was able to make "golf friends" that enjoy the same things he does.
It's a reasonably priced way for children to learn to love golf!
Great way to introduce golf to children. They are able to play as a team and build confidence and skills.

This was our first season playing in this and my son really enjoyed it. He was very well matched each time he played and he truly made friends with each partner he was assigned. We made friends too!
