Great introduction to golf for kids. They were able to play some fun courses and be a team.
It was a wonderful experience for my son. We really enjoyed how the program was organized.
Jeff Mulligan our pro is absolutely amazing with our daughter and has helped her game so much. It has improved her game and helped her to gain the confidence she needed to have fun during a match.
Competition scramble friendly official
The team component.
I appreciate the team aspect that they kids get to experience and that they are able to play more competitively with children their age. I also like that they get to kids get a chance to play on courses they may otherwise could not.
Opportunity
Organized with great instructors.
Great team environment, scramble format doesn't put too much pressure on kids
Everything really! We had a great experience or first year!
It provides invaluable instruction, skill-building, and preparation for a lifelong sport. There is camaraderie amongst the junior golfers, and a real development of an appreciation for the rules, etiquette, and traditions of the game.
Opportunities for kids to get on different courses
My 9 year old daughter,Mia, and her sweet friend she introduced golf to, teamed up and played together for the tournaments. They loved making new friends from the other teams and they all cheered for each other. It really showed them that a sport doesn't have to be all about competition but just enjoying their love for golf together. Ms.Aurora and Ms.Lori were amazing leaders and everything was organized well and they showed the kids how to just really enjoy the game.
Just a great experience
Casey Schnieder was the most positive, uplifting and high energy coaches we could have asked for. He makes the game extremely fun for the kids, which is exactly what they need at this age. I would highly recommend him and this program to anyone.
My daughter loved it. She had a great time golfing with older kids and seeing the different courses.
It introduces the game to children as early as
Coaches were amazing — kids had a blast. Eliminated any stigma of playing in competition.
It truly depends on how the local course organizes the league. Brae Burn was fantastic. The groups moved quickly through each hole and the teams were organized well by skill level. In prior experiences pre Brae Burn, the pace of play was a major issue and teams included 5 year olds vs. 12 year olds which is not good. Last year at Commonwealth I would have given it a 3-4, but this year at Brae Burn, a 9 NPS.
The PGA Jr. League is well organized and ran. My daughter truly looks forward to attending practice and going to the tournaments.
Staff was great.
The pro and the way he interacts with the kids
The families
The kids greatly enjoy it and look forward to each week!
I like that the kids learn to follow rules for gold and behavior. The kids like to get dressed up for golf and play many courses that they would not otherwise get exposed to.
My only concern is that they will be 14yo and will no longer have a pga junior league option at our club
The competition with kids my age. Having fun with the friends I met through Jr League.
My son loved playing golf. He seemed to enjoy every course.
I liked the setup of having both a practice and matches. I was very impressed with our coach as well.
