"What I love most about the YMCA is that it feels like more than just a gym; it’s a community. Whether I’m in a group class or just walking through the lobby, there’s an inclusive, welcoming energy that makes me feel like I belong there, regardless of my fitness level."

Instructors are fabulous , and they really do care about the members.
]The one complaint I have is that the the cleanliness of the Y could be better.
I have complained numersous times about the second floor garage door. It is disgusting, especially coming in. It needs a good scrubbing.

THE HOURS
They’re all accessible to all ages. Everybody is so friendly and helpful a there are so many classes to take throughout the week. I love it!
I enjoy seeing older community members participating in healthy programs. The youth activities, especially in summer, are also great. I hope all of these options are at highly reduced costs for those not able to afford such a special place.
I love the group classes! I like the instructors a lot - everyone is friendly and encouraging without really singling people out in a negative way. Once an instructor wanted to help me correct my pose specifically but she did it in the most gentle and unintimidating way, so i was not embarrased in the class. I really wish there were more classes after 6pm for those of us with 9-6 jobs. I wish there were more bodypump classes or water aerobics after 6:15pm. Because of the class schedule I have been trying to go to a group class on my lunchbreak (12pm or 12:15pm) but it is hard to squeeze clothing changes plus the 50minute class into my supposed-to-be-only-one-hour lunchbreak (definitely no time to shower).

Welcoming environment, variety of programs and group classes, clean facilities, friendly staff
Great instructors, and the classes are fun.
Love the Les Mills classes. Thank you for keeping equipment fresh and up to date. The plants around the building always look neglected - please can someone water them regularly. The Parking garage stairs are FILTHY please can you talk to the building maintenance and ask them to clean it and apply a fresh coat of paint. Thank you for everything!
My personal trainer & instructor Yvonne Saunders. My yoga class & instructor, Melody Peeples. My Pilates reformer class and instructor, Francine. My body pump class with Michelle G.
It has indoor track. But it needs to be more friendly.
I like them. I don't attend many but they look interesting .
I wish you would have a Seniors visit to camp Cullen more than once a year.
I can't tell if the survey is going to continue or if I only get one opportunity to say things. There has been an issue of young men in the ladies room in the downtown YMCA, and while the young kids who are comfortable with trans and transgender people it's quite discerning for the very very old seniors who are not used to this. This needs to be addressed because the very very old seniors when they see men regardless of their age in the ladies room regardless of their sex , feel threatened. And the person I spoke with was worried for the other women and their young children who are in the ladies room when there was a guy there , even though the guy is a girl.
I don't know how you remedy the situation but just be aware that since very very old people go to the Y, unless you educate everybody very well you have some very scared elderly people who don't understand why there are men in the ladies room.

There were so many classes for beginners.
