What do you like about our programs and activities ?

I like the wide variety of equipment, not crazy about Matrix but love the Cybex and Hammer stuff. I appreciate that the custodial staff is always on top of keeping the facility clean but I wish staff would talk to some of the guys who, dripping with sweat, move from machine to machine and make no effort to clean up behind themselves. I also wish there was some enforcement of the No Cell Phone rules, I'm tired of waiting while people sit on equipment texting or reading emails. I think it is a great facility overall but there is room for improvement.

excellent equipment. many programs. friendly, helpful, knowledgable staff. member diversity-all ages and a reflection of Houston's diverse population. We truly enjoy the welcome atmosphere at the Tellepsen.

What do you like about our programs and activities ?

I attend the wellness classes at the Weekly YMCA (as they were not offered downtown) and my sons workout at the Tellepsen. Now that they have found times that are not too crowded, they are quite happy.

What do you like about our programs and activities ?

I like the overall facility. The downstairs staff are very helpful and friendly. It's always clean, there are plenty of towels. The steam room and sauna are terrific. The parking is a wonderful plus for a gym. The equipment is well maintained and generally it's not too crowded in the workout areas (except the pool).

I mainly use the weight training equipment but I support the Y’s efforts to provide after school and summer programs to the community that it serves.
