Member Testimonials
I mainly use workout equipment and swimming pool.
Clean, good equipment, friendly staff.
I like the variety of classes and the cleanliness of the gym. The staff is always helpful and polite, even if, on occasion, they give incorrect advice. One thing I have found at the gym is that sometimes people who use the machines will stay on them too long and prevent others from using them. Usually, these people do a set and then pull out their phone and lost time even though others are waiting for the machine. I have even seen someone stay on a machine 10-15 minutes usually beause of the unusally long rest period or because they want to do a large number of reps. Most of the time, I simply ask them how much more they intend to so and they are polite an responsive. Only once has someone been extremely rude, accusing me of interfering with her rep count. She had been on the machine for over 5-6 minutes.
I have thought about asking the Y to post a sign either saying that if people are waiting to use a machine, please do not use you phone between reps; or setting a limit of 3-4 minutes on each machine if peoople are waiting. The phone is the biggest problem.
I'm not participating at this time.
I swim and do yoga and meditation classes.
I wish you would a singing/sound bowl meditation with Liza.
Activities for all age groups.
Variety of classes, functioning clean equipment on 2nd floor
I attend Silver Sneakers and Forever Well classes. The instructors have different styles of teaching which provides variety, making the classes interesting. Even though these classes are for older individuals, I get a good workout and know I'm getting stronger, more limber, and I'm building muscle. We also work on balance which is very important to help prevent falls. As we are working out, the instructors check on our form to insure we're getting the most benefit from each exercise. It's also a great way to meet people. This is a very friendly environment, and the facilities are kept clean and in good condition.
Especially like the EGYM. Usually 5 times a week. Staff is cordial & helpful.
Exercise class and senior Friday lunch programs very good
Fun, energetic, rewarding exercise classes!
I like all and even if I don’t participate in most of them just knowing that they are available make me happy!
The atmosphere. Neighborhood centered and family oriented.
Years ago, my granddaughter and I joined the YMCA. At that time, you totally sucked. No one knew anything and everyone was making up rules on their own. We quickly stopped our membership. A few months ago, I retired and I decided to give you a try again.
WOW, WHAT A CHANGE!!!!! The staff were all well trained and if they did not know something they quickly found the answer. The place is clean, and you have a wide range of classes. I love they you have a majority of "older" clients, but you still have young people mixing into the cloud. I really like pickle ball because it is so social, friendly and not completive.
GREAT JOB!
Variety of fitness classes offered
I enjoy the exercise classes body pump and body sculpting. The instructors are very knowledgeable and seem to enjoy leading the class.
Friendly members and staff. Variety of programs offered
Spin class, especially on Tuesday with Faith. We have a small, dedicated group or riders, and the schedule is good because Monday is hard for me to make most weeks. Also, open gym.
I like that there are many treadmills, elliptical, bikes, stair stepper machines. There are a wide variety of free weights and weight machines. It is always clean.
unpretentious, good variety of programs with a good variety of people & I LOVE EGym machines!
The group water exercise classes are important for our senior members.
I don't use programs or activities, but it's a pretty solid gym for the price.
Great teachers!
The variety of options
Easy accessibility. How about adding belly dancing for exercise?
Variety of programs for senior age group. Frequency of classes including daily water exercise.
Amir as front desk is excellent and consistently handles issues that arise.
Areas for improvement - communication of upcoming changes is often by word of mouth. Class cancellation communication is not always timely. Regular instructors are very good, some better than others. Substitute instructors are not always the best. Most know the topic but are not good communicators ie - Mona and Tomoko
Love the lifespan approach and activities for all.
Like the ability to get training or attend various types of classes.
Senior programs,water exercise
They are inclusive and fun for everyone

I like being able to work out whenever it's convenient for me.
