Meeting people and seniorific exercise classes
Right now I only use the gym, particularly the Egym
Wide range¡ skilled trainers, good hours, clean equipment, Bible studies, serves all ages.
The activities and programs that me and my children enjoy are for example basketball, swimming, and the gym. We love going here and this is a place that I would highly recommend to my friends because YMCA is just a good place to be in it also has a very comfortable vibe, and this is just a fun place to be in and the employees are very friendly and welcome l love this YMCA🥰
The only lthing missing at the Y (in my opinion) is a "walking" area in your pools for seniors and handicap folks who need water to exercise. Not a water zumba class that can't handle the amount of people who can participate. Two beautiful pools and nothing?
It’s a great place to take care of your body with all the exercises you get to do and meet and make new friends.
Multiple machines. Weekend hours.
Good variety of classes
Teachers and facilities are great
I love yoga classes! Looking forward to trying the pool!
Yoga, some machines
Love water aerobics !
The instructors are the best! They well trained and friendly.
The YMCA staff is friendly but two people really stand out - Amire and Dianne. They listen and are very patience.
good times and great staff
Pickleball fellowship
They continue to expand with my child's age and development in sports.
I like your programs and activities and have been a member for over 40 years.
However, I have some issues with the Weekley Y's handling of swim lessons on the weekend.
We have two pools, the lap pool and the adventure pool. In the mornings on Saturdays the adventure pool is kept closed, and up to 4 lanes are closed in the lap pool that only has 7 lanes to accommodate swimming lessons by Y staff and private swim coaches.
I recommend you all move the swim classes to the adventure pool and keep the lap pool open for swimming laps.
Thanks!
Great variety of fitness classes, equipment and instructors. The Y has a supportive environment of instructors and members to inspire personal health and fitness. I also appreciate the improved communication for class rescheduling. Thank you.
The instructors are very good.
Child care while parents exercise
I am currently in the silver sneakers class and stretch class. I try to attend when I can register for the stretch class on a regular basis. I used to attend the silver sneakers class 4-5 days but cutting it back a little to 1-2 days as my left knee has started bothering me with this class. I would like to try to learn swimming instead. I also use the equipment upstairs when possible. I’ve thing I noticed, the music in the classes is a bit loud and makes it harder to hear what the instructor is saying. So we end up needing to loook at the instructor continuously to follow. Having music is good in an exercise class, but it doesn’t need to be too loud.
Body pump and yoga.
I like the SilverSneakers classes, though I’m rarely able to get a spot.
I also like the EGYM machines.
I plan on trying work with a personal trainer though I haven’t done it yet.
My daughter likes the yoga classes.
The activities and programs are very beneficial and desirable.
You have a good variety of activities for seniors like me: yoga, tai chi, chair exercises, and low-impact cardio, as well as stimulating intellectual programs, like your cardiologist’s presentation.
I do wish you had at least one trainer employed who has his or her degrees or certification in exercising safely for health and rehab rather than body-building. They are completely different certifications, and a lof of members at the Weekley Y are quite old. I saw a trainer showing an old lady how to do a twisting exercise that really should never be done by any senior. If she has osteoporosis, she could seriously hurt her back. But every one of your trainers is certified for sports fitness, teams, etc. I checked it out: they are NOT the same certifications.
What I like best is that your employees are super-nice people, friendly, cooperative, and professional. I also love it that this Y is clean. Everywhere—bathrooms, machines, gyms. That’s important, and please tell the staff that their work is noticed and appreciated!
If there were a second Tai Chi class at a different time of day than Wednesdays at 2, I’d love it. But I’d never blame the Y for fitting the programs where they have to be. You do a great job.
Water Aerobics 6 days a week
I like the E gym over there. They don’t have it at every location.
I feel most of the instructors that I take classes from are good.
Many opportunities

Swim programs are awesome. Lifeguards are kind and hard-working.
