There is not much that I don't like bout the Northeast YMCA. I so wish that the Northeast Branch would accept the United Health Care version of Silver Sneakers. It seems to me that if one branch accepts it all branches should use a core of common policies.
I like very much the new sighs that state you should not use a cell phone while on equipment and enforce the policy. I have pointed out the sticker to various members with phone in hand and their reply was "My bad" and continued to play with phone.
The pigment in the men's locker room needs to be vacuumed nightly and that is not being. I am sure the night cleaning crew that since it is black it won't show--it may not show but certainly can be felt wit bare feet.
Love the new equipment.
I love the people, the classes and the facilities. Please add 30 minute stretch classes. Danielle's class on Saturday morning is the best class of the week!

The YMCA is a wonderful place for families and individuals alike. It's clean, and offers many wonderful programs beyond being just a place to work out. They offer an extensive and varied number of classes, and the instructors of those classes are superb.
LIVESTRONG program
The staff are my favorite thing about the YMCA! They are consistently friendly when I arrive and check-in, and, if they're able to, they always wish me farewell when I leave. When I pass them in the hallways or locker room, they make eye contact and smile. The instructors are incredible and encouraging. The people who work at the Y truly make the Y the warm, welcoming place that it is. Please let them know that they are seen and appreciated. When I see the staff cleaning the restrooms and locker rooms, I am so thankful for them. When I see them giving tours to new or potential Y members, I fondly remember the tour I received from a friendly Y staffer. The building itself is simply a structure. The wonderful employees at the Y make it a community, and they make a HUGE difference in the lives of everyone who is lucky enough to participate in programming at the Y!
The YMCA has provided us the opportunity to get the exercise we need to maintain our flexibility and strengthen our bodies. A big plus has been the friends we have gained in our water classes and in the fitness center.
