The inclusive model for all ages. There are cheaper options where I could go workout, but they don’t provide childcare or scholarships.
The women's only center. I use the treadmill, elliptical and weight machines.

The different equipment & the atmosphere
Louisville Downtown Y is the best! I’m retired and drive 3 times a week to the Y from Georgetown, IN, even though the Y in New Albany, IN is much closer for me. Downtown Y has so many machines and weights. It’s also not very crowded, and I love that. The members are respectful of each other, especially so after Covid, and I think we all give each other a little wiggle room.
I would suggest they have a fitness, ab or stretching class at 9 am. There are only a few classes at 6 am, and no way I can make those. The next class is at noon, then other classes later that day and evening. Maybe an extra morning class or two would bring in more new members.
It is meeting my long term health objectives to stay active and fit into my older years
Great people to work with! Almost like a family ✊🏽✌🏽
