Friendly people
Curtis the trainer has motivated my sister and I to lift weights and workout regularly! He is a great asset to the YMCA.

Friendly atmosphere. Takes Silver Sneakers. LOVE Jennifer's Pilates classes.
I like that the Y is community oriented and offers some free programs that benefit the community and less advantaged people. I use the walking track a lot when it is really hot or really cold and I don't want to walk outside.
I’ve found classes to be fun and good exercise. The trainers are also very helpful. It’s a great place.
Tracy Waddell is the best yoga instructor I have ever had. She is knowledgeable, professional, kind and personable. Tracy goes above and beyond and is truly an asset to our YMCA. She’s been such a blessing to me. Rachel and Angela are awesome as well and greatly appreciated 😊
My family loves the ability to workout,
play pickleball with provided childcare. We have gotten to be more active with the accommodations the Y provides. Our kids have enjoyed learning chess ♟ and meeting new friends as we are new to town.
Welcoming environment, friendly staff (especially Carol Anne), clean facilities, and there’s always something going on!!
I like the wide range of options and the community outreach.
Lots of group fitness classes to choose from
Always greeted with a smile.
Exercise equipment and the indoor track.
Exercise classes
Like the variety and times available to work out on a regular basis...I do wish they were open early Sunday mornings to get workout over with and go to church and spend day with family but understand cannot be open everyday...maybe someday it will be a 24/7 open at least in the weight section for people that work odd hours.
Otherwise, love the Y for all ages.
Great weight room. Free weights and machines are first class. The faculty is always clean.
The staff is very friendly and knowlegable.
I love the workout area, that is mostly what I use. Plan to try some of the classes soon.
Pickleball!
Currently we use the outdoor pool as much as possible with our grandchildren. It is always clean & the lifeguards are attentive.
Diversity of programs.
They have an amazing array of fitness activities to choose from, very nice well maintained facility, and very friendly staff and clientele. We were welcomed from the get go.
I love how clean the Y is and friendly. How many machines you have for lots of folks. Pickleball is amazing! Pool is great!
Classes for seniors..All the teachers are great.
They are affordable, they are fun based and they are safe!
Love the silver sneakers to promote health and balance for seniors
There is something for everyone.

Sports at Hood County Y are wonderful! They are inclusive of all and take the time to get to know their participants and give the best experience possible.
Great.

Love the front desk staff and the lifeguards.
Absolutely love the indoor swimming pool and outdoor pool.
Have used the indoor track and exercise equipment.
Those little kids need swimming lessons!
Looking forward to attending more YMCA events. Need some xl and xxl tshirts!
Thankful to the YMCA. Please open more.
We lived in Denton, Texas. The colleges and college professors-built huge fitness facilities financed by college fees. Huge fitness facilities used by very few. What a waste of money and corruption. I'm a TWU alumni and they wouldn't even let alumni on the campus last year. Couldn't use the library not to mention the campus fitness facility. I knew the campus visitor's booth was staff by a former neighbor. TWU hired her son (nepotism) and he wouldn't let anyone on the campus. I'm against tenure for any college professor. The college professors in Denton have too much power and built exclusionary campus fitness facilities.
My husband worked at the local hospital for doctors for over 30 years. Thank you for providing a career healthcare professional a place to get healthy.
The YMCA is open to everyone.
