We absolutely loved our daughters swim lessons and their instructor Carsen was awesome! We appreciated how patient she was with the kids and they all had so much fun learning with her. We will be back!

Swimming and learning.
Various class schedules
The programs are great, activities too. Lots of variety in days and times. The greatest part of this YMCA is the people that are a part of the Y. The instructors, office personnel, coaches, and last but by no means least are the members. Everyone is kind, respectful, helpful, sincere in wanting to help or just giving a warm smile and greeting. It’s a amazon environment of people caring about people
My kids come home tired! Ha! They stay active all day. The only issues I see is when they tell me how mean other kids are and how they are bullied. This seems to have improved in July, but the beginning of the summer was really rough.
EVERYTHING!
It has well structured planned activities for kids, they help kids learn and grow.
I appreciate the registering system for activities and the friendly atmosphere around the Y. The aquatic instructors are great!
My last visit to the Daily Family YMCA was not pleasant and it all falls to communication. I checked in at the front desk and proceeded to the Mens Locker Room. I went to the door, opened it and to my amazement there was 15-20 young boys in line inside the locker room waiting to be taken out into the main building. There was a young man that said I should probably hurry because he was about to bring in an entire new group of boys and the locker room would be quite full. Immediately after saying that he, and the line of young boys, left. I walked over, sat my bag down then proceeded to the urinal to void my bladder. During answering the call of nature I hear two ladies talking rather loud coming from the shower area, so I finished the task at hand and was walking over to wash my hands. When two ladies burst through the door leading from the shower room. I smiled and managed to say that I wasn’t aware that the locker rooms were coed. The bossier one of the two told me that I couldn’t be there. I wanted to tell her that no… she was in the wrong place… but she aggressively followed her statement with. This time of day we shut down the locker rooms and it is just open to the staff and the kids, so you can’t be here right now. My mind went in a circle while I attempted to tell her that the locker rooms weren’t closed. There weren’t any signs. None of the doors were locked, which would be a fire code infringement, no egress from the locker room while occupied by the kids. I was literally stricken dumb by her attitude. Before I could say anything she gave me a dismissive look ,turned, and over her shoulder said that I might could use the bathrooms in the other part of the building. Then walked away.
It would be a futile attempt for me to tell you everything that went wrong with the previously described encounter. I do not live in Tulsa but come up for personal and business all the time. I maintain a membership and support the YMCA of Tulsa because Most of the staff are friendly, and it gives the youth some place safe, clean and engaging to learn about healthy habits and develop social skills. It is also a convenient place for me to get ready for a meeting after driving 2 hours to Tulsa from my home in SE Oklahoma. Are there less expensive options? Yes. Have I ever considered them before now? No. Am I considering them now? I am not sure.
I love that my son is excited about coming everyday to Camp. He enjoys making new friends, swimming, and all of the other fun activities.
