We enjoy the small team and the support of the staff. We also love that there is time for the swimmers get to have fun while at practice.
We are a bit concerned about the future of the Sharks team though with losing Coach Cleary and the rumor that Coach Abby is moving on this summer. We would also love for the practices to not be on Mondays over the summer, as this interferes with VPSU summer swim leagues.
My daughter has been swimming for the Baraccudas since she was 7 yeas old, she is almost 16 and still loves swimming.

I can afford the Y, there are lots of classes that I can take: yoga, Pilates, water aerobics (I have Ehlers-Danlos, so I have limited options). The people are kind and friendly. When I expressed a concern regarding my social anxiety, management addressed it quickly in a sensitive manner.

Great facilities, however I've had to purchase equipment such as Weight pins in order to continue using the equipment. Please repair the equipment as needed and not let it sit idle

I love the Ft. Monroe YMCA. The employees are friendly, the location is perfect. I like going to an earlier workout and then going to watch the sunrise. I like that it has all updated equipment and I've never seen anyone filming there.
The Coach’s at Luter YMCA are great. They foster an environment that is build on teamwork and hard work. I can not stop saying positive things about the coaches as well as the swimmer.
