I use the pool. I like the pool hours.
The kids love the instructors. They get to know them well and they push my kids!! I have a 4 & 6 year old that have been in since they were 3. The 6 year old is lap swimming and diving and the 4 year old is well in his way!

I love water Zumba the instructor Nicole is the best. I also enjoy working out and the hot tub of course.
I go to spin class on Tues and Thurs and have a really good workout. Kim is great !
Friendliness
I'm not a very frequent visitor but every visit has been great. My wife is more of a regular and I sometimes come along. The facilities and the employees, all the patrons are very nice folks. It's a great, diverse in many ways, kind of place where all feel comfortable.

We go to exercise and chat with friends. Also go to the class for seniors on Wednesday and sometimes Friday. Enjoy going.
YMCA programs and activities are friendly, doable, and appropriate for the different types of people.
I love the Schroeder pool. It's the only pool in the area where the temperature is low, so that when you're swimming laps, you don't start sweating as much.
I also enjoy all of the programs for Seniors, especially yoga. I love the deep water and shallow water exercise. I haven't been able to take aqua zumba, but I'm sure I would like that too. I also like the fact that there are a number of machines that you can work on, along with the track for walking. I like the fact that you have some machines and bikes with a T.V, so you can watch what you enjoy. There are two bikes with a TV attached, that happen to be the only bikes I can ride at this time because of tears in my meniscus and ACL. When my family was younger, I really liked the programs available for children. The children in my family attended camp every summer. Both children learned to swim at the Y, and as a result, my son was on the swim team, and my step daughter was on the synchronized swim team in High School.
I think it's a great place for the whole family. I have been member for approximately 40 years.
The early morning classes have expanded and are great!
i like the yoga classes and the tai chi class. You could add more of both. Sue Emlen's yoga class is exceptionally good and not to be missed. Tsuri's tai chi class is excellent. I like the exercise equipment readily available to all. I like that all this and more is included with membership!
