Member Testimonials
The Brown Deer Y is the most diverse, inclusive, racially “blind” organization in the city. We’re family there. We know and care about each others’ lives.
We celebrate the good that happens to us, and we comfort each other when life throws the most devastating challenges our way.
The building is great. The staff is wonderful. But the community is what makes the Y second to none in my book.

I go to the Y to swim in the WSAC pool. Cindy, the lifeguqrd, is especially helpful in keeping us informed of changing schedules/hours, etc.
I like having a teacher with music to make a class fun.
Dedicated & enthusiastic staff.
I live less than a mile away and plus the people and the staff are very friendly
At this time, I am using the Nubike to exercise because I fractured my front and back left palvis.
I have not tried the exercise or balance classes for my age group, but hope to be able to by 2023.
The main reason I'd give it a 10 is due to it providing a great sense of community. Wonderful staff! Rebecca at the ccheck in desk is great! The newer cleaning woman, Mila is great as well! I do wish broken equipment could be fixed earlier.
Lots of varieties in class selection. Equipments are clean. Young & old, all welcome.
Multigenerational attendees, helpful staff, great classes
Friendly and talented staff
I go to Silver Sneakers classes. Dawn is by far the best instructor! I wish she was there more than once a week. She makes the class so enjoyable!
Haven't tried any programs or activities yet. Just use the gym so far.
The friendly staff and fitness equipment
I am very pleased with the services that the y provides for all of it's clients ,whether they have disabilities, young children, teens, young adults, and those of us in the geriatric group. All activities are appropriate to meet the needs of these age groups.
The YMCA makes attempts to provide something for all age groups.
The diversity of people and the staff.

I appreciate personal training and the weight/ exercise room
The fact that you offer Parkinson's specific classes.

Love the silver sneakers program! Equipment is great and I’ve made lots of new friends!
I have taken various classes at the Y for 30 years. Currently I participate in Silver Sneakers Monday-Thursday in the afternoon. Some of us enjoy having coffee after class.
Friendly environment. Lots of equipment. Clean. Great staff.
I appreciate the variety of classes offered. Also, the fitness center offers lots of options, including sanitary wipes. The majority of the staff are friendly. The Y offers me the opportunity to meet new people and establish a support system.
Love your scheduled exercise classes (body pump & spinning in particular). Very good instructors and enough options to meet my schedule.
Variety of activities and work out machines that are well maintained.

Everyone is very friendly.
