Great schedule for 2 hrs of classes back to back in am on esp for seniors
Caring people
Group classes/training
Tat-yanna was an incredible instructor- such fun!
Not a "like" but still feedback (no other way to send it):
All restrooms need a hook near the sinks. When I am washing my hands, I have no place to put my coat or purse. And the baby changing station in the handicapped single restroom is wonky now because that is where people put their coats and bags, because there is no hook!
Spray bottles of disinfectant are on racks that are constantly coming off the walls. Something that heavy can not be just screwed into drywall. The racks should be attached to a board that is then anchored to the wall.
I have given these suggestions to personal before, but nothing happens. I wish there was an old fashioned "suggestion box" that everyone could easily use, and maybe post the suggestions along with the resolution.
They are available at different times and days
Large variety of programs and activities available.
Great instructors. Nice class sizes
I love the Y, but think we should at least have clean locker rooms at the central parkway location. Given the lack of hours and constant membership increases, it is not enough to rely on the after hours cleaning crew and need to make your staff address this during the day. The shower sauna area is a nightmare every day and is one of the differentiating amenities the y has that others do not. People sign up just for the sauna/steam room, so why let it turn into the nastiest part of the entire building. Other than that I love you guys and the other members, it’s jus getting gross in the men’s locker room and know you can be doing more to address it.
The pool!
I like the YMCA pool
Good hours of operation
Clean facility
Helpful staff
Swimming weight room trademill
I like the classes. It’s motivating to workout in a group.
I like that my wife, my son, and I are all members and depend on the Y for widely different reasons. It speaks to the flexibility of the Y’s offerings.
Very accessible
I like that the Body Pump class in the morning is followed by a yoga class or qigong on Fridays. I like that a morning Pilates class is offered on other weekdays.
Convenient access.
The Silver Sneakers class with Mary on Mondays at 11:30 at the Central Y is just perfect for me -- the timing, the location and especially the teacher. She adds a touch of dancing to the class which makes it so fun. I can't wait to attend each week. Thanks so much for offering this class. It keeps me in shape and keeps me happy!
Love the staff: everyone is friendly and caring toward all members.
The saline lap pool is the best feature of this gym. The lifeguards are terrific, very accommodating, and the water is almost always kept at a perfect temperature for the season.
The gym, however, seems more geared to men than to women. There is no adjustable sit up bench, for example, that stresses lower abs. It is small wonder than men predominate the gym, with the younger men seemingly always coveting the equipment for long periods of time, as they spend more time on their phones than working out. The other Y's have signs requesting users not do this, but management has thus far been reluctant to do so. I am not clear as to why when many of us complain amongst ourselves.
Other than that, it is a lovely Y, a great facility, with a lot of cool classes. Having separate steam and sauna rooms is an added bonus. It is downtown urban, yet people are generally friendly.
I like the machines at the Y at Elm and Central. I do not like the dropping of the weights when others use the machines. I do not like people sitting on a machine and using the Internet. It reduces the time anyone can be using the machine.
Just a very nice place to work out. Friendly people patronize the Central Parkway Y.
Pool. Sauna
Your senior citizens classes , I would like a water exercise class for senior citizens.
I like how many options and easy to use the app to schedule
Thank u for the opportunity to b a part of the YMCA activities. For a retired military man, it allows me to function in my own class and speed. The YMCA has allowed me freedom to associate with others, and perhaps pick up some pointers on the exercises from others.
I do support the fine jobs they do with other organizations around Ohio, and the kids benefit greatly.
