I like the facilities and the access to them
I like to go to the pool for ‘water walking’. The online reservation system is easy.
I do not like, however, the lack of cleanliness in the women’s shower. The shower curtains are disgusting! They need regular cleaning! There are spots of mold on the ceiling tiles. Please take care of this unhealthy situation. Unfortunately, I have reported the need for regular maintenance of the showers in past surveys, but there has not been a sincere commitment to providing a safe and healthy environment.
I am a new member and today was my first day at the Y. I recently completed 36 sessions of cardiac rehab at Mercy Hospital due to a heart failure diagnosis last March. My goal is to improve my ejection fraction rate by a utilizing the Y for a moderate exercise program 3 times a week. The Y was highly recommended to me by Mercy's rehab group due to the number of machines available and the overall environment.
The Y always provides high energy clean structured family environments and activities for EVERYONE in the family that we all can feel good about going too and not to mention child care!

I only swim. I like the Ferris Pool better because the water is cooler for lap swimming and I also need the hot tub jets on my knees. The main pool doesn't work for me. I like swimming outdoors too.
The Dance Fitness class encourages us to exercise safely and vigorously to music we all love. Jan is the best!
