The workout room being open early is good so I can get motivated early. The equipment on 33rd needs to be upgraded. I went to the one in Columbia maryland area Maybe like ellicot city and the equipment was all new. I saw machines I'd never even seen before. I know 33rd is getting a face-lift but upgrade or wipe off the old stuff. The staff at 33rd are nice. I had a few rude staff at the front desk who do not speak which isn't welcoming. It's 1 lady who just always seems unhappy being there. She's a front desk person.
I always feel safe and welcome, the space is clean, and the new improvements to the fitness floor are going to be great!
I met a man at Oysterfest yesterday who said he retired a year ago and felt bored. I suggested he try the Y because it's a great way to meet new people (and stay fit).

I love the diversity of backgrounds, bodies, and abilities of people at the Y. It doesn’t feel competitive, and I haven’t ever felt ill at ease, even though I had never been to a gym before.

I love the classes. They are great. I love my selected instructors (3 of them). They inspire me and push me, but always with care. I find the entrance and the people who greet us to be friendly and helpful.
