I love that the Y is not only a great place to work out or for childcare, I have also attended many community meetings there and think it is a great community space!
The staff is always excellent. The child-care was an absolute God-send when we needed it. The facility itself is always clean and ready.
Every staff member I’ve met at the Waverly Y is always kind and welcoming. I always feel comfortable in the gym space, even as a novice because there’s such an inclusive community feel. I’m also loving the expanded fitness space!!
We've belonged the the Y here in Maryland for 3 years & in California for at least 30 years. Good sports programs for kids & good classes for adults. Before the pandemic the class choices were better especially in California. Hopefully as things get back to normal Maryland/Baltimore area will offer more & diverse classes to their each location.
There is a variety of activities for young, middle-aged, and seniors to participate in at the Y at a reasonable cost. That's what I like about my Y experience. Good for the community.

Amazing staff, diverse and friendly members, high quality facilities, wellness.
Classes and lessons for kids--rock climbing, swimming, etc. Rock climbing wall.
Free weights and exercise machines that are easy on joints.
Kind and helpful staff members.
Everything. But going back to pre-pandemic hours and expanding the space on the fitness floor are both enormous improvements.

I've just joined the Y for the first time and so far have had a great experience swimming with my nephew and using the weight room with my partner. I look forward to returning often.
I always feel welcome at the Y.
I attend the water fitness class and even when I have not been able to attend for a period of time the instructor and class mate are always welcoming.
